Illinois AMVETS Service Foundation Veterans Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors and current college students from Illinois who are either veterans or a child or grandchild of a veteran or active-duty military member. In addition to the general scholarships, there are specific scholarships for Nursing majors and students who participate in a Junior ROTC program.

Description: Scholarship is Illinois residents who are currently enrolled as an undergraduate or will be enrolling at the beginning of the upcoming Fall term.

ISAC Grant Programs

Description: Grants are open to residents of Illinois who are enrolled at least half-time at an ISAC-approved Illinois two- or four-year college. There is a grant available to dependents of police or fire officers and dependents of correctional officers.

JACL National Scholarship Program

James Madison Foundation Fellowships

Description: Fellowship is open to U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals who are teachers, or plan to become a teacher, of American history, American government, or social studies at the secondary school level (grades 7-12). Applicant must possess a bachelor’s degree or plan to receive a bachelor’s degree no later than Aug. 31 of the year the student is applying.

Junior Duck Stamp Contest

Closing Date: March 1, 2021
Description: Contest is open to students in grades K-12 who attend public, private, or home schools in the United States and the U.S. territories. Contestant must draw, paint, or sketch a picture of an eligible North American waterfowl species. Deadline only for Maine, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia. Deadlines have already passed for California, Maryland, and Massachusetts, but all other states have a later deadline – see website for details.

LPEA Scholarships

Amount: Up to $7,000/year over four years

Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school students who attend school in the La Plata Electric service territory (Colorado).

Microsoft disAbility Scholarship

Amount: $5,000 per year, up to $20,000 total

Description: Scholarship is open to current high school seniors living with a disAbility who plan to attend an undergraduate program following graduating. Applicant must plan to declare a major in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, law, business, or a related field.

National Insulator Association Academic Scholarship
Sponsor: National Insulator Association (NIA)
Amount: Up to $2,000
Closing Date: March 1, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled in an eligible educational institution. Applicant must be related to a National Insulator Association (NIA) member or be an insulator collector. Applicant must submit an essay on their knowledge of insulators and their use.

National Italian American Foundation Scholarships
Sponsor: The National Italian American Foundation
Amount: Up to $12,000
Closing Date: March 1, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, medical, and legal students who will be enrolled in higher education for the Fall 2020 semester and have a GPA of at least 3.5. Applicant must have at least one ancestor who immigrated from Italy. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships open to specific majors and state residency.
