Studying abroad is an excellent opportunity to explore the world and learn about new cultures while continuing your education. Here are scholarships open to studying who will be studying abroad.

Travel Scholarship Contest

Amount: Up to $2,500
Closing Date: January 31, 2023
Description: Travel scholarship is open to U.S. students aged 11-20 interested in educational travel. Scholarship will be in the form of a travel scholarship certificate (ACIS travel voucher for money off a 2023-2024 tour).

Boren Scholarship
Sponsor: Boren Awards for International Study
Amount: Up to $25,000
Closing Date: February 1, 2023
Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests, and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asian, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Scholarships
Sponsor: Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Closing Date: March 2, 2023
Description: Scholarships are open to Zetas and non-Zetas who are high school seniors and current college students. In addition to the general scholarships, there are scholarships specifically to students studying Anthropology, Counseling, Education, Health Sciences, Medicine or Social Work. In addition, there is a scholarship for students who will be studying abroad.

SIT Scholarships

Amount: Up to $5,000
Closing Date: April 1, 2023
Description: Scholarship is open to current college students who are applying to a SIT Study Abroad program for the Summer.

Tortuga Study Abroad Scholarship
Sponsor: Tortuga
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: April 15, 2023
Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and students in the U.S. on a student visa. Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student who has applied to or been accepted into a study abroad program eligible for credit by their college or university. Applicant must submit an essay on what they would like to learn from other cultures.
