If you are a parent, paying for college may be difficult. Some scholarship providers want to help parents (single parents and parents that are still together) attend college by providing scholarship. Below are scholarships open to parents.
NCJW/LA Scholarship Program

Amount: Up to $2,000

Description: Scholarships are open to students who live and attend school in the Greater Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and Ventura Counties. Applicant must be trying to better their lives through education in the aftermath of trauma, loss and other setbacks. There are scholarships open to all majors and specific scholarships for nursing majors, mothers, non-traditional students, education majors, and film/television/cinema/theater majors.
Live Your Dream Awards
Amount: Up to $10,000
Closing Date: November 15, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to women who are the primary financial support for themselves and their dependents. Applicant must be enrolled in or has been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program.
Scholarship for Single Parents
Closing Date: November 15, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to students attending an accredited college or university who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicant must be a single parent. Applicant must create a video that shows how software and technology will affect their field of study in the years to come.
Car Seat Research Scholarship

Amount: Up to $1,000

Description: Scholarship is open to current college students who are U.S. citizens and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicant must submit an essay or video on a given topic related to car seats.
Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers’ Annual Single Mother Scholarship

Closing Date: December 5, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate students who are mothers and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicant must submit an essay on the advantages of going back to school while caring for their child as a mother.
Working Parent College Scholarship Award
Closing Date: December 9, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to full or part-time students enrolled in an accredited U.S. post-secondary educational institution with at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be a residential parent of at least one minor child, work an average of at least 12 hours for each of the previous four weeks, and is a legal resident of the United States.
Closing Date: December 15, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to legal U.S. residents who are at least 18 years of age and currently enrolled, or will be enrolled within the next three months, in a college or university in the United States. Applicant must be a mother or an expectant mother.
