Athletic Scholarships

Some students are offered athletic scholarships to continue their sport in college. However, not all student athletes are give this opportunity. Luckily, there are outside scholarships open just to student athletes. Some of the scholarships listed are for specific sports, while others are open to all student athletes.

Brian Pearson Memorial Scholarship

Closing Date: April 30, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to high school juniors and seniors who have previously participated in any Iowa Games events (Summer Iowa Games, Winter Iowa Games, Iowa Games Net Fest, or Iowa Games Run).

LPGA Scholarships

Closing Date: April 30, 2017
Description: Scholarships are open to female graduating high school seniors who played golf in high school. There are scholarships for students who are planning on playing collegiate golf and for students not planning on playing collegiate golf. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships open to minority female students.

Runnerclick Sports & Academic Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate students worldwide. Applicant must submit an essay on how sports can contribute to your life.

Save Oregon Wrestling Foundation Scholarship

Amount: Up to $3,000
Closing Date: April 30, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors in Oregon who want to enroll and wrestle in college next fall.

Scholars-Athlete Scholarships
Sponsor: New Hampshire Fisher Cats Foundation
Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: April 30, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are residents of New Hampshire or Massachusetts. Applicant must be a student athlete.

Six Star Scholarship
Sponsor: Six Star Pro Nutrition
Amount: $15,000
Closing Date: April 30, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to legal residents of the United States who are between the ages of 18 and 22 years of age and are either graduating high school seniors or current college students. Application should be someone who excels in athletics, academics (at least a 3.0 GPA), and community. Applicant must write an essay or create a video (or do both) that shows why you deserve the scholarship. There will be one female and one male scholarship winner.
