Some students are offered athletic scholarships to continue their sport in college. However, not all student athletes are give this opportunity. Luckily, there are outside scholarships open just to student athletes. Some of the scholarships listed are for specific sports, while others are open to all student athletes.
NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to student athletes who have achieved in their last year of varsity-level intercollegiate athletics at an NCAA school. Applicant must be nominated by the faculty athletic representative or athletic director and be enrolling as a full- or part-time graduate student. Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA.
Hitting The Golf Ball Sports Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in colleges, universities and high schools. If you have a passion for sports and especially golf, this scholarship might be of interest to you. However, even though the scholarship provider is an advocate of sport, you do not need to be an athlete to apply. Applicant must submit an essay on, “how technology is affecting sports.”

Description: Scholarship is open to student athletes in high school and community college who plan to attend a four-year college. Applicant must fill out an athlete profile at CaptainU, add five (or more) colleges to their college list and a few other easy steps.
CIF Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors with a minimum 3.5 GPA who have demonstrated outstanding athletic performance in a minimum of two years of varsity play in California.
Team Type1 Foundation Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who have Type 1 diabetes and is/will be a competitive athlete at an accredited NCAA or NAIA institution.
My Soccer HQ Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students worldwide who have at least a 2.5 GPA. Applicant must have a passion for sports and must submit an essay on anything related to soccer or sports in general.
Women’s Western Golf Foundation Scholarship
Sponsor: Women’s Western Golf Foundation (WWGF)
Amount: $8,000 ($2,000 per year)

Description: Applicant must be a female high school senior who participates in golf.
FLAG Flag Football Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to Massachusetts graduating high school seniors who have made a high school and/or community sports program safer for and more inclusive of LGBTQ student-athletes, as either a role model or ally.
AGA Women’s Scholarship
Sponsor: Alabama Golf Association
Amount: $2,000 per semester and will be renewed on a fall and spring basis for eight consecutive semesters.

Description: Scholarship is open to female graduates of an accredited secondary school who have an interest in the game of golf. Applicant must be in need of financial assistance to pursue an undergraduate education in a college or university in the state of Alabama and applicant must be a residents of Alabama.
Bob Warnicke Memorial Scholarship Program
Sponsor: USA BMX/BMX Canada

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school senior sand current college students who have a current USA BMX license or be a Track Operator/Official who participates in BMX racing events sanctioned by the USA BMX/BMX Canada.
Hood Sportsmanship Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. legal residents of the six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont) who are high school seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA and have participated in a varsity sport.
