Attending college can be quite expensive for students and their families. Luckily, there are many college scholarships and contests available to help pay for a college education. Students should seek out and apply for scholarships in which they meet the eligibility requirements. Below are a handful of scholarships with March 2019 due dates. Anne Frank Scholarship Award

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors in the United States who will be attending a four-year college in the fall of 2019. Applicant must have proven themselves as exceptional leaders in combating intolerance, prejudice and injustice in their schools and communities.
Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest

Amount: $10,000
Closing Date: March 1, 2019
Description: Scholarship contest is open to all high school, college and university students enrolled at any time during the latter half of 2018 who are at least 14 years of age. Applicant must be a legal resident of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or U.S. territories. Applicant must submit a photo, artwork or computer graphic for the front of a greeting card.
Microsoft disAbility Scholarship
Sponsor: Microsoft
Amount: $5,000 per year, up to $20,000 total
Closing Date: March 1, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to current high school seniors living with a disAbility who plan to attend an undergraduate program following graduating. Applicant must plan to declare a major in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, law, business, or a related field.
Project Yellow Light Scholarship Competition – Billboard

Description: Competition is open to high school juniors and seniors and current undergraduate students. Applicant must design a billboard advertisement to warn their peers of the dangers of texting and driving.
Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award

Description: Award is open to classical instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers between the ages of 8 and 18 who have not yet entered college during the 2018-2019 academic year.
Fight the Fear Scholarship Slam

Description: Scholarship is open to students 25 years of age or younger who are current or former high school students who will be attending or is attending college in the U.S. Applicant must submit a poem on the following question: “How did you overcome one of your fears, and what did you learn from the experience?”
Religious Liberty Essay Scholarship Contest

Description: Scholarship is open to high school juniors and seniors. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to the Johnson Amendment.
American Foreign Service Association National High School Essay Contest

Description: Contest is open to high school students in grades 9-12 who are U.S. citizens. Students must submit an essay on a given topic related to the Foreign Service.

Create Real Impact Contest

Amount: Up to $1,500

Description: Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia between the ages of 14 and 22 years of age. Student must submit an original work (video, music, creative writing, or artwork) showcasing their idea for a solution to the very real problem of reckless and distracted driving.
Superpower Scholarships
Sponsor: Unigo
Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: March 31, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to students 13 years of age or older who are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and who are currently enrolled (or will enroll no later than the fall of 2025) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. In a short written response, student must explain which superhero or villain they would want to changes places with for a day and why.
