Attending college can be quite expensive for students and their families. Luckily, there are many college scholarships and contests available to help pay for a college education. Students should seek out and apply for scholarships in which they meet the eligibility requirements. Below are a handful of scholarships with March 2017 due dates. Check out the full list of March Scholarships – there are currently over 300 scholarships on the list! More scholarships will be added as they become available.

Only brief information about each scholarship is listed. Therefore, students are encouraged to visit the scholarship websites to get further details about eligibility and requirements.

International College Counselors Scholarship Essay Contest
Sponsor: International College Counselors
Amount: $250
Closing Date: March 1, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to students in grades 9-11 anywhere in the world. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to what the applicant would say to the future U.S. Secretary of Education.

Project Yellow Light Scholarship Competition – Billboard
Sponsor: Advertising Council
Amount: Up to $2,000
Closing Date: March 1, 2017
Description: Competition is open to high school juniors and seniors and college students. Applicant must design a billboard advertisement to encourage safe driving.

Gotta Have Sole Scholarship
Sponsor: Gotta Have Sole
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: March 3, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to students between 17-22 who will be entering their first year of higher education at an accredited institution, technical college, or vocational school. Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, have at least a 2.0 GPA, and must submit three personal essays.

Don’t Text & Drive Scholarship
Sponsor: Law Offices of Matthew J. Quinlan
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: March 15, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to students 24 years of age or younger who are currently admitted or enrolled in a four-year college/university or graduate school. Applicant must submit an essay on texting and driving.

Fruitful Kitchen Scholarship Program
Sponsor: Fruitful Kitchen
Amount: $600
Closing Date: March 15, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to a healthy meal.

Anthem Essay Contest
Sponsor: Ayn Rand Institute
Amount: Up to $2,000
Closing Date: March 29, 2017
Description: Contest is open to students in grades 8-10. Applicant must submit an essay that answers a given question related to the book. There is no citizenship requirements to apply.

ABA YLD Law Day Art Contest
Sponsor: American Bar Association
Amount: Up to $750
Closing Date: March 31, 2017
Description: Contest is open to students, student groups, and classes in grades 9-12 (or the equivalent) in the United States. Contestants must submit an art piece on the topic of the 14th Amendment.

Don’t Text and Drive Scholarship
Sponsor: Goldberg & Osborne
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: March 31, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors and current college students. Applicant must fill out a form pledging they will not text and drive.

My Kid Needs Academic Scholarship
Sponsor: My Kid Needs That
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: March 31, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who are currently living in the United States or United Kingdom. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to the importance of toys.

Superpower Scholarships
Sponsor: Unigo
Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: March 31, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to students 13 years of age or older who are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia who are currently enrolled (or will enroll no later than the fall of 2023) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. In a short written response, student must explain which superhero or villain they would want to changes places with for a day and why.
