It’s on us to end campus sexual assaults

On Friday, President Barack Obama announced an initiative to help end campus sexual assault. The initiative is called “It’s On Us.” The idea behind the program is that sexual assault should be something that is important to everyone, not just those affected by sexual assault. Everyone should be doing something to help end sexual assaults.

A website for the initiative was unveiled on Friday morning and features a video with huge star power. Hollywood stars seen in the video include John Hamm, Kerry Washington, Rose Byrne, Connie Britton and Mayim Bialik. In addition, comedian Joel McHale, musicians Questlove, Common and Randy Jackson, and NBA all-star Kevin Love also participate. The 32-second video message is, “it’s on us, all of us, to stop sexual assault.”
