There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

Description: Scholarship is open to students between the ages of 14-25 who will be attending school in the Fall of 2020. Applicant must share in 10 words or less why they deserve the scholarship.

National Sojourners Essay Contest

Description: Contest is open to students in 9th through 12th grade. Applicant must submit an essay on a person they know, or know of, who personifies one of the Points of Lights and has made a difference in their community through their service and sacrifice. The national deadline is January 15, 2020, but all entries must be sent to a local chapter first (deadlines may vary).

Description: Scholarships are open to current undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in working in the water industry (engineering, research, etc.). In addition to the general scholarships, there are scholarships specifically for female students and minority students.

Description: Scholarship is open to current college students attending a HBCU. Applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of New Jersey from Mercer, Middlesex, or Somerset Counties. There are no major restrictions to be eligible for this opportunity, however applicants planning to major in one of the STEM related fields are highly encouraged to apply.
