About: Secondhand smoke causes cancer, which is why thousands of colleges have gone tobacco-free. Problem is, 3,273 campuses still allow tobacco.
How to enter: Post a photo urging college campuses to go tobacco-free! Post a photo (DoSomething will provide one) of a college mascot and tag a nearby college, asking them to #SaveTheMascots by going tobacco-free.
Give a Spit About Cancer: Fight Blood Cancer Just by Swabbing Your Cheek
Scholarship Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: April 30, 2018
About: 70% of people with blood cancer rely on a complete stranger for a lifesaving bone marrow donation, but not everyone has an equal chance of finding a match.
How to enter: Share an online quiz with friends to education them on racial disparities in the bone marrow registry. Unlimited entries!
Grab the Mic: Unleash your Power to Do Something About Gun Violence
Scholarship Amount: $3,000

About: There have been over 1,500 mass shootings in the U.S. since the Sandy Hook massacre in 2012. Every day, seven American children are killed by a gun.
How to enter: Take a DoSomething quiz to learn the real deal about gun laws in your home state. Then, share the quiz with a friend to spread knowledge and empower them to take action. Unlimited entries!
Rinse, Recycle, Repeat: Create a Recycling Bin for Your Bathroom!
Scholarship Amount: $5,000

About: Nearly half of Americans don’t regularly recycle their empty beauty and personal care products.
How to enter: Create a bin to recycle empty beauty and personal care products in the bathroom. You’ll remind others to recycle, keep plastic out of landfills, and you’ll automatically be entered to win the scholarship. Unlimited entries.
Eligibility Information
While there is no GPA, test score, or essay requirements, there are some eligibility requirements students must meet to enter any of the above scholarship opportunities:
- US or Canadian citizens, regardless of residence OR reside in the U.S. or Canada.
- 13 to 25 years of age.
