There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. citizens enrolled in a four-year bachelor degree program in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Construction Management, Construction Information Technology, or a related educational program.

DuPage County Farm Bureau General Scholarship
Sponsor: DuPage County Farm Bureau
Amount: $2,000
Closing Date: April 3, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are interested in a course of study related to the agriculture industry. Applicant’s parents must be a member in good standing of the DuPage County Farm Bureau (IL).

Two Ten Higher Education Scholarships
Sponsor: Two Ten Footwear Foundation
Amount: Vaires
Closing Date: April 5, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to students attending or planning to attend an accredited two or four-year college, university, nursing or vocational/technical school for full or part-time study. Applicant or their parents must have a minimum of two years’ employment in the footwear industry (1,000 hours over two years).

ABA Foundation Diversity Scholarships
Sponsor: American Bus Association Foundation
Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: April 6, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to traditionally underrepresented students who have completed, at a minimum, their first year of college at an accredited university. Applicant must have a declared major or course of study relevant to the transportation, travel, and tourism industry and applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Beverly J. Gilliam Scholarship for Foreign Study
Sponsor: UNCF
Amount: Up to $6,500
Closing Date: April 6, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled at one of the UNCF’s member institutions as a sophomore or junior within the 2017-18 academic year. Applicant must be planning to study abroad during the summer of 2018, must be approved by their home institution and allow the applicant to receive earned credit hours towards their undergraduate degree.

Christina Skoski, M.D., Scholarship
Sponsor: Amputee Coalition
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: April 6, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to students who will be full-time undergraduate students in the fall term and have a congenital limb difference or an amputation.

Drake Davis Scholarship
Sponsor: Drake Davis Foundation
Amount: Varies
Closing Date: April 6, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who exemplify outstanding qualities in leadership, character and community service. Scholarship and foundation was formed to create an opportunity to raise awareness and prevention of suicide.

John Weir Academic Scholarship
Sponsor: Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living
Amount: Up to $500
Closing Date: April 6, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who have a significant disability of any kind (physical, visual, development, cognitive, hearing, learning, emotional, or other). Applicant must live in Washtenaw, Livingston, or Monroe County, Michigan.

NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
Sponsor: National Collegiate Athletic Association
Amount: $7,500
Closing Date: April 6, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to student athletes who have achieved in their last year of varsity-level intercollegiate winter athletics at an NCAA school. Applicant must be nominated by the faculty athletic representative or athletic director and be enrolling as a full- or part-time graduate students. Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA.

Scott Decker, M.D., Memorial Scholarship
Sponsor: Amputee Coalition
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: April 6, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors, recent high school graduates, adults returning to school, and current college students who has an acquired or congenital limb loss. Applicant must be under the age of 21 OR a military/active duty military personnel.

Study Abroad Scholarships
Sponsor: IES Abroad
Amount: Varies
Closing Date: April 6, 2018
Description: Scholarship are open to current college students who will be studying abroad and have financial need.

TCAA Scholarships
Sponsor: Tile Contractors’ Association of America
Amount: Up to $5,000
Closing Date: April 6, 2018
Description: Scholarships are open to current college students enrolled in a CIDA-accredited university working toward a professional degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture OR high school seniors and current college students who are a sibling, child, or grandchild of a current full-time employee of a TCAA contractor member meeting the standards for good standing with the Association.

Elizabeth Nash Foundation Scholarships

Amount: Up to $2,500
Closing Date: April 8, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current undergraduate and graduate students at an accredited U.S. based college or university who have Cystic Fibrosis. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.

Expect Miracles Foundation Scholarship
Sponsor: Expect Miracles Foundation
Amount: Up to $20,000
Closing Date: April 8, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors who have been diagnosed with cancer (previously or currently diagnosed. Applicant must have been treated for cancer at a cancer facility in New England or the greater New York area (CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, RI, VT) or must be a resident of the New England or greater New York area.

American Legion Legacy Scholarship
Sponsor: The American Legion
Amount: Varies
Closing Date: April 9, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to children of fallen post-9/11 service members, and VA-rated, post-9/11 veterans with a disability of 50 percent or higher. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or current college student.
