Description: Scholarship is open to high school and college students in the United States who are/will be enrolled in college within the next 12 months. Applicant must create a Cappex profile (if they don’t have one already), share about their extracurricular activities, leadership, and volunteer activities, and then search Cappex for scholarships.

SunTrust Scholarship Sweepstakes

Description: Sweepstakes is open to high school seniors and college undergraduates with permanent residence in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia. Students can enter online or by mail once during each two-week drawing period.

Charles R. Kendall Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to members and their dependents who are attending or plan to attend on a full-time basis a university, college, community college, vocational or trade school, or pursue other post-high school study.

Focus Photo Essay Contest

Description: Scholarship is open to current undergraduate and graduate students who have at least a 2.0 GPA. Applicant must submit a short form and a photo that captures the theme “Focus.”

Greg Goff Leadership Awards

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors worldwide with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicant must submit a completed application and an essay on leadership.

Hamilton Award

Description: Award is open to high school juniors who are college bound with a strong record of community service and academic achievement. Student must have financial and/or personal need.

MaryEllen Locher Foundation Scholarships

Closing Date: January 16, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who live within a 50-mile radius of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Applicant must have lost a parent to breast cancer or complications relating from the disease or have a parent who has survived breast cancer.

UNCF STEM Scholars Program
Sponsor: UNCF
Amount: $2,500 per academic year for freshman and sophomores, $5,000 for juniors and seniors, and an additional $5,000 for students whose academic programs require a fifth year
Closing Date: January 16, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are African-American/Black, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and plan to study a STEM field in college, including Biological/life sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Sciences, Engineering, or Mathematics. Applicant must have demonstrated financial and unmet need as measured by the student’s college or university.

Payette Sho-Ping Chin Memorial Academic Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to women studying architecture within a NAAB accredited bachelor or master’s degree program. Applicant must be entering at least their third year of undergraduate or any level of graduate study.

Wisconsin Outdoor Communicators Association Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a Wisconsin-based college or university with an interest in outdoor recreational communication.

Description: Sweepstakes is open to residents of the 50 United States, District of Columbia, and U.S. territories who are 25 years of age or under and who are enrolled or planning to enroll in art school. Description: Competition is open to students in grades 6-12. Student must create a short documentary video on “The Constitution & You.”

Better Brothers LA Book Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to Black LGBTQ students who are residents of Los Angeles County and who have been admitted or are attending an accredited degree, licensing, or vocational program.

CESDA Scholarships

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: January 19, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to Colorado graduating high school seniors who identify as a student of color, first generation college student, and/or a student with financial need. Applicant must enroll at a two or four-year Colorado college or university in the Fall and applicant must have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.8.
