Do you like making a difference in your school or community? If you do, DoSomething has many campaigns to make a difference, and for participating, you will be entered to win a scholarship! Below are the campaigns with April 2016 deadlines.

Patient Playbooks: Brighten the Day of a Child in a Hospital
School Grant Amount: $1,000
Deadline: April 18, 2016
About: Over six million kids are hospitalized each year, and many experience depression because the hospital can be a scary place.

How to enter: Use DoSomething’s simple template to create your own activity book for a child to brighten their day and then send to the address provided.

Little Rock Nine – Experience Civil Rights History
Scholarship Amount: $2,000
Deadline: April 30, 2016
About: In America during the 1950s, the color of your skin decided many things, including where you could go to school; whites went to one school and black to another. In 1954, The Supreme Court ruled that all schools were for all students, and so in 1957, a group of nine stellar black high school students bravely attended Little Rock High, fighting racial inequality. Despite the laws changing, people’s minds hadn’t. Protesters lined up outside the school, classmates were cruel, and even teachers wanted the students to fail.
How to enter: Visit DoSomething to experience the story on your phone and share it with three friends. Once you participate, you will receive an entry for the scholarship.

Elephant Tusk Force
Scholarship Amount: $2,000
Deadline: April 30, 2016
About: 96 African elephants are killed by poachers every single day, which means these amazing animals could be extinct by 2025.
How to enter: Find and flag ivory products on Craigslist to show them what a problem this is. Take a screenshot and upload to DoSomething to be entered to win the scholarship.

Guns Out: Advocate
School Grant Amount: $1,000
Deadline: April 30, 2016
About: Since 2007, over 37 states have introduced bills to allow guns on college campuses. However, there is no evidence guns make colleges safer.
How to enter: Use DoSomething’s step-by-step guide to get your school president to sign an official letter against allowing guns on campus. You’ll automatically be entered to win the school grant.

Mirror Messages: Post a Note to Brighten Someone’s Day!
Scholarship Amount: $3,000
Deadline: April 30, 2016
About: According to sources, by age 13, about 53% of American girls are unhappy with their bodies. By 17, it’s 78%.
How to enter: You could win this easy scholarship just by posting a sticky note to make someone smile. Post notes on bathroom mirrors and other places around your school. The notes will improve others’ self-esteem and automatically enter you to win the scholarship.

Comeback Clothes: Clean Out Your Closet to Help the Planet!
Scholarship Amount: $5,000
Deadline: May 31, 2016 (opens April 7, 2016)
About: 11.1 million tons of recyclable fabric and textiles end up in landfills every year, even though the vast majority of this can be recycled.
How to enter: Clean out your closet to help the planet and enter to win a scholarship. DoSomething will give you all of the information you need to donate and recycle your old clothes. For every 50 items of clothing you donate, you will get an entry for the scholarship.

Four-Legged Finishers
Scholarship Amount: $5,000
Deadline: May 31, 2016
About: Cats and dogs are twice as likely to get cancer if their owners smokes because of exposure to second- and third-hand smoke – both of which are toxic to pets.
How to enter: Take a picture of your pet (or any animal) and give it a caption that shows how smoking effects pets’ health. Share your picture and you’ll be entered to win the scholarship.

The Less Stress Text
Scholarship Amount: $2,000
Deadline: May 31, 2016
About: Finals time is super stressful for high school and college students. That’s why your friends need your help staying calm.
How to enter: Send DoSomething’s stress-busting tips to three of your friends. For every three friends you share tips with, you earn another entry to win the scholarship.

Planet Zombies
Scholarship Amount: $2,000
Deadline: May 31, 2016
About: Low-income communities are hit hardest by natural disasters, making them the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
How to enter: Play a zombie apocalypse game on your phone and send the fun game to three of your friends. You will also learn a thing or two about climate justice. You’ll automatically be entered to win the scholarship.

While there is no GPA, test score, or essay requirements, there are some eligibility requirements students must meet to enter any of the above scholarship opportunities:

  • U.S or Canadian citizens, regardless of residence OR reside in the U.S. or Canada.
  • 13 to 25 years of age.

The above scholarship contests are easy to enter and you’ll be making a difference. Check them out and participate before the deadline.
