2015 College Fly-In Programs

2015 College Fly-In and Travel Scholarship Programs for College Visits | JLV College Counseling BlogAnyone that knows anything about college admissions will recommend that students visit the colleges they are considering. The college visit can be an extremely important part of the college search process. While marketing publications and admissions officers will make every college look and sound attractive, not every college will be a good fit for you. After finding colleges that meet the student’s preferences and needs, the best way for a student to know if a college is a good fit for them is to visit. College visits will allow students to experience the campus and community, which is something that is almost impossible without visiting campus.

Unfortunately, visiting all of the colleges on your list can be expensive. While some students can afford traveling to numerous campuses, others may not. Luckily, there are quite a few colleges that recognize visiting colleges can be an expense some students cannot afford and want to help. Below is a list of colleges that offer Fly-in programs or travel scholarships. Some may pay for half of the trip while others cover all expenses. Participating in any of the fly-in programs or receiving a travel scholarship is competitive.
