Description: Competition is open to high school students (grades 9-12) in public, private, charter, and alternative schools. Home-schooled students in that age group also may enter. Student must be in a school in a WGA member state: Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Northern Mariana Islands, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Applicant must create original work inspired by their state or otherwise evocative of the West.

Description: Scholarship is open to Wyoming residents who are high school seniors or between the ages of 18 and 22. Applicant must be a first-generation American (born in the United States, but whose parents were not born in the United States). Applicant must use the scholarship at one of the state’s community colleges or the University of Wyoming.
