UNCF Social Justice Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students who are from New York, New Jersey, Vermont, and Connecticut who are committed to social justice. Applicant must be African American and be currently enrolled in college with at least a 2.5 GPA. Although all majors are encouraged to apply, those students who are political science, criminal justice or in a course of study toward the preparation of law school will be given preference.

Roothbert Fund Scholarships

Closing Date: February 1, 2022
Description: Scholarships are open to incoming and current college students from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina. Scholarships are open to students in the United States regardless of sex, age, color, nationality or religious background, but it does seek to provide support to persons motivated by spiritual values. Finalists will be invited for a brief in-person interview usually in New York, New Haven, Philadelphia and Washington, DC (travel costs not paid for by organization).

Elizabeth J. Davis Scholarship

Amount: Up to $3,000
Closing Date: February 11, 2022
Description: Scholarship is open to Vermont students who are enrolled in a certified college (does not have to be a Vermont college) who are studying either nursing (RN or LPN), physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, or medical social work.

VSAC-Assisted Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who are residents of Vermont. There are multiple scholarships available – see website for details.
