LNESC Emergency Scholarship Fund

Description: Scholarship is open to students facing economic hardship, such as change in family income/support, loss of job, death of an immediate family member, natural disaster, pending eviction or home foreclosure, burglary or fire. Applicant must be a resident of California, Florida, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, or Texas and enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Bob Bennett Memorial Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who will be enrolled during the 2018-2019 academic year. Applicant must be a member in good standing of Unity One Credit Union (Texas, Minnesota, & Kansas).

Celebrate the West High School Art Competition
Sponsor: Western Governors’ Association
Amount: Up to $1,000
Closing Date: April 30, 2018
Description: Competition is open to high school students (grades 9-12) in public, private, charter, and alternative schools. Home-schooled students in that age group also may enter. Student must be in a school in a WGA member state: Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Northern Mariana Islands, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Applicant must submit a two-dimensional art piece on what their state means to them.

ACT Cares Community Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to seniors at high schools in an eligible counties in the states of Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia or Washington – see website for details).

Aspiring Attorney Scholarship
Sponsor: Rosenthal & Wadas, PLLC

Closing Date: May 1, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors in the Dallas/Fort Worth area who have been accepted to college for the fall semester of 2018. Special consideration will be given to students interested in pursuing a career in criminal defense, but anyone meeting the requirements and can demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in law will be considered.

Mitchell/Tufts Scholarship

HTA Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to high school seniors in the Greater Houston area who will be entering college in the upcoming year, and who have participated in high school varsity tennis and/or UST Texas Section tournaments or programs.

#ArriveAliveTX Distracted Driving Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to Texas full-time students, entering or attending an accredited university or law school in the United States with at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicant must submit a video, short writing (three paragraphs or less) or poem, or photo or graphic on a subject related to reduce the number of truck accidents due to distracted driving in Texas.

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students in Texas who will be enrolled in a 2-5 year institution in 2018. Applicant must create a video sharing about the law they would create or change and what impact it would have on society.

Pickard Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to African-American male students graduating high school in Dallas County, Texas. Applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA and preference will be given to those who can demonstrate financial need.

TSJCL Lourania Miller & Gareth Morgan Scholarships for High School Seniors
Sponsor: Texas Classical Association
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: June 1, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to Texas high school seniors who are planning to continue their study of Latin and the classics while in college. Students who receive this scholarship must take Latin or Greek their freshman year at college.
