LNESC Emergency Scholarship Fund

Description: Scholarship is open to students facing economic hardship, such as change in family income/support, loss of job, death of an immediate family member, natural disaster, pending eviction or home foreclosure, burglary or fire. Applicant must be a resident of California, Florida, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, or Texas and enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Cheryl D. Conkling Memorial Scholarship Fund

Amount: Up to $12,000 ($1,500 per semester)
Closing Date: July 2, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors with hearing or other physical hardships who have demonstrated a love of education. Applicant must live or attend school in either Windsor, Colorado; Conroe, Texas; Wilkinson County, Mississippi,; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; or West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana.

Panda Cares First-Year Scholars

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors planning to enroll in Fall 2020 as a full-time, first year student at an accredited U.S. four-year college or university. Applicant must have at least a 3.0, qualify for the Pell Grant, and be a resident of one of the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, or Puerto Rico.

Excellence in Character Scholarship

Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors attending high school in Dallas or Tarrant Counties in the state of Texas. Applicant must have a strong record of service in the community, participate in extracurricular school activities, a minimum GPA of 3.0, and a family annual income under $50,000.

Miller Lite – Texas Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to undergraduate students who attend a HACU-member institution within the following cities: Dallas/Fort Worth, Laredo, McAllen, or Houston, Texas. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age, be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident or DACA recipient, and have at least a 2.5 GPA.

Wings Over Houston Airshow Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to Texas students who have completed at least one academic year of full-time college work and who are working towards a career that is associated with aviation or aerospace.

NEWH | Houston Chapter Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students attending an accredited college in Arkansas, Louisiana, or Southern Texas. Applicant must have completed at least half the requirements for a degree and must be pursuing a career objective in the Hospitality industry (Hotel/Restaurant management, Culinary, Food Service, Architecture, Design, etc.)

C. Lamar Meek Memorial Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled in an accredited college or university in the state of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma or Texas who have undertaken an investigation/research/outreach project in the area of medical and veterinary entomology.

Description: Scholarship is open to Texas full-time students, entering or attending an accredited university or law school in the United States with at least a 3.0 GPA. Curwen-Guidry-Blackburn Scholarship Fund

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are residents of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, or Texas. Applicant must currently be bowling in a USBC-sanctioned league and have bowled for three out of four years in high school.
