Scholarships for students Pennsylvania. Some scholarships specifically open to Pennsylvania students, and others give preference to students in Pennsylvania.

Robert J. Trace Scholarship
Sponsor: The American Legion – Department of Pennsylvania
Amount: $500
Closing Date: May 31, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to students 15 to 18 years of age who reside within the state of Pennsylvania. Applicant must be a child or grandchild of a Pennsylvania Legionnaire, decease Pennsylvania Legionnaire, or a child of a Pennsylvania soldier who was killed as a result of the war on terrorism.

Estamos Unidos de Pennsylvania Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: June 1, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to Hispanic/Latino students who reside in Pennsylvania and will be attending college during the Fall 2018 term. Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors, current undergraduate students, and non-traditional students.

Luther and Mary Ida Vandross Scholarship

Amount: $10,000
Closing Date: April 30, 2018extended to June 1, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to students in their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of study leading to an undergraduate degree who are enrolled at a four-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who are residents of the Northeastern region of the U.S.

NTHA Community Forest Scholarship
Sponsor: Northern Tier Hardwood Association
Amount: up to $1,500
Closing Date: June 1, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors in specific counties in Pennsylvania who have been accepted to a Community/Urban Forestry, Arboriculture, or related field of study.

Supply Chain Management Education Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: July 1, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to undergraduate students majoring in Supply Chain Management who are either permanent residents or students in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, or Illinois.

Indiana Garden Club Scholarship
Sponsor: Indiana Garden Club
Amount: Minimum of $500
Closing Date: July 15, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to residents of Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Applicant must be majoring in ecology, horticulture, landscape design, landscape architecture, conservation, botany, forestry, agriculture, earth sciences, arboriculture, food science, forest ecosystems, plant pathology, or plant sciences.

Estelle Martin Cartledge Memorial Fund Scholarship
Sponsor: Poise Foundation
Amount: Up to $1,300
Closing Date: September 30, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to high school graduates who have a strong academic record and are accepted or currently enrolled in a four-year institution of higher education. Applicant must have a sustained (one year or more) involvement in humanitarian service projects. Applicant must live in the Mon Valley, Pennsylvania (Rankin, Turtle Creek, Braddock, North Braddock, Homestead, Duquesne, Monongahela, and West Mifflin). Preference will be given to students who are African-American and attend Morning Star Baptist Church.

POISE General Scholarships

Amount: Up to $1,500
Closing Date: September 30, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to residents in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania who are accepted or currently attending a two-year or four-year university, post secondary technical or trade school.

Robert B. Pease Scholarship Fund

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: September 30, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to students who reside in Allegheny County (Pennsylvania) and attend a two-year or four-year university. Preference is given to African-American students and those studying in the field of Engineering.
