Scholarships for students Nevada. Some scholarships specifically open to Nevada students, and others give preference to students in Nevada.

GIAR Grandmother’s First-Generation Scholarship
Sponsor: Community Foundation of Western Nevada
Amount: Up to $2,500
Closing Date: March 1, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to first generation young women of Portuguese, Mexican, Central American or South American ancestry under the age of 25. Applicant must be a resident of northern Nevada (typically described as Tonopah and north) or the state of Hawaii.

National Italian American Foundation Scholarships
Sponsor: The National Italian American Foundation
Amount: Up to $12,000
Closing Date: March 1, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, medical, and legal students who will be enrolled in higher education for the Fall 2020 semester and have a GPA of at least 3.5. Applicant must have at least one ancestor who immigrated from Italy. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships open to specific majors and state residency.

Carl N. & Margaret Karcher Founders’ Scholarship

Amount: Up to $10,000
Closing Date: March 9, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to students, age 21 and under, who reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington or Wyoming. Application must be a high school senior or graduate who plans to enroll for the first time in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Italian American Club – Las Vegas Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who are of Italian descent and legal residents of Clark County, Nevada.

Live Out Loud Educational Scholarship

Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: March 15, 2021
Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors who identify as LGBTQ and are from the Tri-State area (New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey).

Mario Cugia Italian Studies First Year Scholarship
Sponsor: Italian Catholic Federation
Amount: $500
Closing Date: March 15, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are Roman Catholic and of Italian Descent and live within the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Arizona, California, Illinois, and Nevada. Applicant must be majoring in Italian Studies.

NEWH | Las Vegas Chapter
Sponsor: NEWH: The Hospitality Industry Network – Las Vegas Chapter

Closing Date: March 19, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to students attending an accredited college in Nevada or Utah. Applicant must have completed at least half the requirements for a degree and must be pursuing a career objective in the Hospitality industry (Hotel/Restaurant management, Culinary, Food Service, Architecture, Design, etc.)

AAA South Jersey Scholarship Contest
Sponsor: AAA South Jersey
Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: March 31, 2021
Description: Contest is open to high school seniors living in or attending school in Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester or Salem counties (New Jersey). Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to travel.

Public Safety Scholarships
Sponsor: Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund

Closing Date: March 31, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are actively serving, or parent actively serving Camden County in a public safety capacity. One scholarship will be awarded each Public Safety discipline (Police, Fire, EMS).

NATAS PSW Foundation Scholarship
Sponsor: NATAS Pacific Southwest Chapter
Amount: Up to $5,000
Closing Date: April 15, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to undergraduate students enrolled in nine units or more and graduate students enrolled in six units or more for the coming Fall or Spring school year. Applicant must be a resident of the Pacific Southwest Chapter Area (San Diego, Las Vegas, Bakersfield, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria or Palm Springs) and intending to pursue a career in television and related fields.

ESA Scholarships for Children of First Responders

Closing Date: May 7, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors in Nevada who have a father, mother, or natural guardian who is a first responder. This deadline is for Nevada students only.
