Scholarships for students Nevada. Some scholarships specifically open to Nevada students, and others give preference to students in Nevada.

NSFA Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are sons, daughters, stepsons, stepdaughters or dependents of a Nevada State Firefighter’ Association member.

Royal Business Bank Scholarship Program

Closing Date: March 25, 2020extended to April 17, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors who reside in New York City area (New York County, King County, Queens County, or Richmond County), Southern California (Los Angeles County, Orange County, Ventura County) or Nevada (Clark County). Applicant must be planning on attending a California, Nevada, or New York college, have at least a 3.0 GPA, and have a household income at or below the County Low Income Level.

Mountain America Scholarship
Sponsor: Mountain America Credit Union
Amount: $2,000
Closing Date: April 24, 2020
Description: Scholarships are open to incoming and current college students who are Mountain American Credit Union members or family of members. In addition to the general scholarship, there are specific scholarships for community service and Business/Communications majors.

Celebrate the West High School Art Competition
Sponsor: Western Governors’ Association
Amount: Up to $1,200
Closing Date: April 30, 2020
Description: Competition is open to high school students (grades 9-12) in public, private, charter, and alternative schools. Home-schooled students in that age group also may enter. Student must be in a school in a WGA member state: Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Northern Mariana Islands, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Applicant must submit a two-dimensional art piece on what their state means to them.

Nevada-UNCF Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who will be enrolling in a HBCU in the fall of 2020. Applicant must be a permanent resident of the metropolitan Las Vegas region in the state of Nevada, have at least a 2.5 GPA, and have demonstrated unmet need as demonstrated by the FAFSA.

Alpine Recovery Lodge Bi-Annual Scholarship Essay Contest

Closing Date: July 1, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate students who are residents of Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona, or Nevada. Applicant must submit an essay detailing how addiction has directly affected them.

Nevada Heritage Foundation Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to Nevada students currently enrolled in either a traditional or non-traditional post-secondary program. Preference will be given to students pursuing career goals in the Agricultural or Ag-Business industry.
