Luther and Mary Ida Vandross Scholarship

Closing Date: April 30, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to students in their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of study leading to an undergraduate degree who are enrolled at a four-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who are residents of the Northeastern region of the U.S.

MGFPA Scholarship Program
Sponsor: Maine Grocers and Food Producers Association
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: April 30, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who are residents of the state of Maine and are either children of employees of companies which are MGFPA members or part-time student employees of companies of companies which are MGFPA members.

Description: Scholarship is open to residents of Maine who are graduating high school seniors or current college students. Applicant must be able to demonstrate financial need.

Daniel E. Lambert Memorial Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current college students who are residents of Maine and have a parent or grandparent who is a veteran.

James V. Day Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current college students who are residents of Maine. Applicant must have a parent or grandparent who is a member of the Maine American Legion.

Rod Harmon Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to Maine residents who are currently enrolled, or will enroll, full-time in an accredited post-secondary educational institution and is pursuing an Associates, or higher degree. Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of community service, academic achievement, financial need, and other achievements of distinction. Applicant must have at least a 2.7 GPA.

Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship
Sponsor: The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund
Amount: Up to $18,000
Closing Date: May 1, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to entering and returning students at an accredited undergraduate institution in the United States. Applicant must be a resident of a New England state: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont.

Description: Contest is open to legal residents of the United States who will be attending college for the first time in the fall of 2018. Applicant must announce their college decision on Instagram in a video, Boomerang, or photo. In addition to the national contest, there are specific state contests for students in Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, and South Carolina.

Summer K. Wiley Jr. Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors, college students, and adults continuing their education at a post-secondary educational institution. Applicant must be a resident of Maine for the past two non-college years. Applicant must submit an essay on given topics related to their education.

Lamey Wellehan Maine Difference Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to Maine high school seniors who will graduate in the spring and who will enter a Maine college in the fall OR a graduate of a Maine high school in one of the four years preceding the current year who will be enrolled in a Maine college in the fall. Applicant studies should be on the ecology and economics of Maine.
