BBB Student Video & Poster Scholarship Contest

Description: Contest is open to high school students in Louisville, Southern Indiana, and Western Kentucky. Applicant must submit a video or poster on the contest theme of “Trust.”

Women Empowering Women (wEw) Scholarship
Sponsor: Dearborn Community Foundation, Inc.

Description: Scholarship is open to non-traditional female residents of Dearborn County (Indiana) who are enrolled or plan to enrolled in Fall 2018 in an accredited post-secondary educational institution or program.

Builders Foundation Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduates of a Chicagoland area high school (16 counties in Illinois, southeast Wisconsin, and northwest Indiana) who are majoring in Construction Management or Construction Engineering and attending an accredited institution in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, or Michigan.

Hagan Scholarships
Sponsor: Hagan Scholarship Foundation
Amount: Up to $5,000 each semester
Closing Date: November 15, 2017
Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors with at least a 3.5 GPA and from a rural area (a county with less than 50,000 people). Applicant must live in an eligible state (see website for details – Middle America) and demonstrate financial need.

Direct Energy Live Brighter Scholarship

Amount: Up to $5,000

Description: Scholarship is open to registered college students for the 2017-2018 school year who are residents of any of the states where Direct Energy offers energy services (Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and D.C.). Applicant must submit an essay or video sharing how they live brighter as a student while being a vibrant part of their community.

Transfer Times Scholarship

Amount: $6,000

Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled at a two-year community college or technical college in Transfer Times distribution area (Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois). Applicant must fill out a short form.

Anthem Essay Contest
Sponsor: Ayn Rand Institute
Amount: Up to $2,000
Closing Date: May 1, 2018
Description: Contest is open to students in grades 8-10. Applicant must submit an essay that answers a given question related to the book. There is no citizenship requirements to apply. In addition to the general contest, there is a special regional contest for students in Chicagoland (Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin).

Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors, college undergraduates, and graduate students worldwide. Applicant must submit an essay on a topic related to Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shurgged. In addition to the general contest, there is special regional contests for students in California, Chicagoland (Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin), and Colorado.

Fountainhead Essay Contest

Closing Date: May 15, 2018
Description: Contest is open to students who are in 11th or 12th grade who have read Ayn Rand’s “Fountainhead.” Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to “Fountainhead.” There is no citizenship requirement to participate. In addition to the general contest, there are special regional contests for students in Chicagoland (Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin) and Colorado.
