Educational Benefits for Children of Deceased Veterans and Others
Sponsor: Delaware Department of Education

Description: Program is open to residents of the state of Delaware between the ages of 16 and 24 years of age whose parent was a resident of Delaware at the time of death or declaration of mission in action or prisoner of war status.

Trust Fund Higher Education Scholarship
Sponsor: Delaware Tribe of Indians
Amount: $400
Closing Date: February 28, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to Delaware Tribal members attending college. Applicant must have at least a 2.7 GPA in the last semester they attended.

AAUW Willmington (DE) Branch Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to women residents of the state of Delaware.

National Italian American Foundation Scholarships
Sponsor: The National Italian American Foundation
Amount: Up to $12,000
Closing Date: March 1, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, medical, and legal students who will be enrolled in higher education for the Fall 2018 semester and have a GPA of at least 3.5. Applicant must have at least one ancestor who immigrated from Italy. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships open to specific majors and state residency.

Delaware Solid Waste Authority John P. “Pat” Healy Scholarship
Sponsor: Delaware Department of Education
Amount: Up to $2,500
Closing Date: March 5, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to legal residents of Delaware who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens who are high school seniors or full-time college students in their freshman or sophomore years. Applicant must be majoring in either environmental engineering or environmental sciences at a Delaware college.

Diamond State Scholarship
Sponsor: Delaware Department of Education
Amount: $1,250 per year
Closing Date: March 5, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors who rank in the upper quarter of their class and who are legal residents of Delaware. Applicant must be enrolling as a full-time student in a degree program at a nonprofit, regionally accredited institution.

First State Manufactured Housing Association Scholarship
Sponsor: Delaware Department of Education
Amount: Up to $1,000
Closing Date: March 5, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to legal residents of Delaware who are high school seniors or former graduates seeking to further their education. Applicant must be a resident of a manufactured home for at least one year prior to the applicant.

Delaware Community Foundation Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to students in Delaware. There are multiple scholarships available, including scholarships open to high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate students. Diverse Minds Writing Challenge
Sponsor: B’nai B’rith International
Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: March 16, 2018
Description: Contest is open to high school students currently enrolled in grades 9-12 in the listed contest cities/regions who have not previously published an original manuscript for profit. Applicant must live in the Washington, DC Metro Area, Atlantic City Electric Region (Southern New Jersey), or the Delmarva Peninsula (Delaware or Maryland). Applicant must submit a story (no more than 24 pages) that children can identify with and relate to, alongside of illustrations that are thoughtful, beautiful, and relatable.
