Veterinary Scholarships

For some students, their love of animals has crossed into their educational career. The follow scholarships are open to pre-vet and veterinary medicine students.

Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors planning to major in agriculture, veterinary medicine, or other fields of study. Applicant must be a resident of one of the following Florida counties: Duval, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Nassau, or St. Johns County.

Veterinary Scholarships
Sponsor: Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association
Amount: Varies
Closing Date: October 15 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to students who have completed two semesters of veterinary education and are pursuing completion of the professional program. Applicant must be a graduate of a Nebraska High School or State of Nebraska approved Home School program.

C. Lamar Meek Memorial Scholarship
Sponsor: Louisiana Mosquito Control Association
Amount: $1,500
Closing Date: November 1, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled in an accredited college or university in the state of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma or Texas who have undertaken an investigation/research/outreach project in the area of medical and veterinary entomology.

Alabama Cattlemen’s Foundation Scholarships

Closing Date: November 6, 2020
Description: Scholarships are open to Alabama high school seniors. Applicant or applicant’s parents or grandparents must be a member of the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association.

Collegiate Equestrian/Rodeo Team Scholarship
Sponsor: Alabama Cattlemen’s Foundation
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: November 6, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to students who are competing members of a recognized equestrian/rodeo team at a Alabama college. Student or student’s parents or grandparents must be current member of the Alabama Cattlemen’s Foundation.
