Trade Scholarships

While some students are looking to go to a traditional college after high school, other students choose to attend a trade school. If you are studying in fields related to automotive, construction, HVAC, plumbing, or other trades, there are scholarships for you!

Kia America – HACU STEAM Scholarship
Sponsor: Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities | Kia Motors America, Inc.
Amount: $2,000
Closing Date: July 1, 2022extended to July 5, 2022
Description: Scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students attending a four-year HACU-member institution who have financial need and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicant must be majoring in a STEAM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Math). First generation students are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates who are residents of the states of California and Georgia.

MFMA Scholarship
Sponsor: Maple Flooring Manufactures Association, Inc.
Amount: $1,250
Closing Date: July 8, 2022
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who will be enrolled during the next academic year. Applicant must submit a personal essay answering one of five given questions. Scholarship is only open to specific majors (too many to list) – see website for details.

Trade School Scholarship
Sponsor: Nevada Farm Bureau Federation
Amount: $2,000
Closing Date: September 1, 2022
Description: Scholarship is open to graduation high school seniors from Nevada who plan on going into a trade to support agriculture or students already pursuing a trade to support agriculture.

LM Scholarship Program
Sponsor: Leavitt Machinery
Amount: $500
Closing Date: May 1, 2023
Description: Scholarship is open to students who will be enrolled in a degree program (two years in length or greater) by September. Applicant must submit an essay on a topic related to safety procedures and how they can prevent an injury.
