Scholarships open to students studying in the social sciences and the humanities including, but not limited to, Anthropology, Economics, English, History, Languages, Political Science, Psychology, ad Sociology.

Doctoral Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to members who are pursuing a Ph.D. in History and have passed general examinations by Feb. 15.

Graduate Student Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to members entering graduate school for the first time in the fall and pursuing a Master’s degree in History.

Graydon A. Tunstall Undergraduate Student Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to student members entering the Fall semester of their college senior year and majoring in Modern European History, 1815 to present.

James Madison Foundation Fellowships

Amount: Up to $24,000 over the period of study.
Closing Date: March 1, 2021
Description: Fellowship is open to U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals who are teachers, or plan to become a teacher, of American history, American government, or social studies at the secondary school level (grades 7-12). Applicant must possess a bachelor’s degree or plan to receive a bachelor’s degree no later than Aug. 31 of the year the student is applying.

National Italian American Foundation Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, medical, and legal students who will be enrolled in higher education for the Fall 2020 semester and have a GPA of at least 3.5. Applicant must have at least one ancestor who immigrated from Italy. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships open to specific majors and state residency.

Stephen K. Hall ACWA Water Law & Policy Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students pursuing a graduate degree (Master’s, PhD, or Law School) in water law and policy or public administration with a demonstrated concentration in the field of water resources. Student must be enrolled full-time for the entire 2020-2021 academic year.

CRCA Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are United States citizens residing in Cook County and other area counties in Illinois. Applicant must be planning to study liberal arts, sciences, engineering, architecture, or business at a four-year accredited college in the fall.

Consuelo W. Gosnell Memorial MSW Scholarship

Women in Defense Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to females who are current undergraduate (at least junior level status) or graduate students and who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career related to national security or defense. Preferred fields of study for the scholarship are security studies, military history, government relations, engineering, computer science, cyber security, physics, mathematics, business, law, international relations, political science, and economics.

Lillian Cooper Droke Memorial Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled in college or technical training who have been diagnosed with a mental illness. Other students pursing a career in the mental health field may also be considered if no eligible mental health consumer applies.

Description: Scholars program is open to minority student currently in their junior or senior year at a four-year accredited college or university. Applicant must be majoring in business, communications, marketing, healthcare management, healthy policy, economics, finance, accounting, supply chain management, computer science, information technology, analytics or an associated major.

UNCF Social Justice Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students who are from New York, New Jersey, Vermont, and Connecticut who are committed to social justice. Applicant must be African American and be currently enrolled in college with at least a 2.5 GPA. Although all majors are encouraged to apply, those students who are political science, criminal justice or in a course of study toward the preparation of law school will be given preference.

ADT Corporate Scholars Program

Description: Award is open to students who have achieved candidacy and completed all requirements for the Ph.D. program except the dissertation by the application deadline. Award is to support dissertation research and writing in any field related to any aspect of the United States political process and public policy during the last half of the 20th century.
