Scholarships open to students studying in the social sciences and the humanities including, but not limited to, Anthropology, Economics, English, History, Languages, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.

NEHS Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who hold membership in active chapters of NEHS for one year.

Wayne V. Black Memorial Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to current undergraduate students working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology, Computer Science/MIS, Pre-law, Political Science, or Telecommunications/Information Technology.

Description: Scholarship is open to currently enrolled or accepted students who are legal residents of the United States or hold a valid student visa. Applicant must be studying or planning to study criminal justice, political science, or a law enforcement related program. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to bullying.

Child Welfare and Development Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work (sociology, psychology, social sciences or a related field) at an accredited university. Applicant must have good academic standing and extracurricular experience working with children who have experienced neglect or abuse.

Description: Scholarships are open to minority undergraduate and graduate students who are studying Archaeology.

Texas History Essay Contest

Description: Contest is open to graduating high school seniors in Texas. History, Government, and English students are particularly encouraged to participate. Applicant must submit an essay on Texas History.

Virtuous Prom Peace Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to female students planning to or currently pursuing studies in theology, anthropology, or sociology at the undergraduate or graduate level. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to peace.

ACPA College Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who have a diagnosis of cleft lip and/or cleft palate or other congential craniofacial difference). Preference will be given to rising first-year students in any field and to currently enrolled students in a field of study related to cleft or crainofacial conditions (e.g. genetic counseling, speech-language pathology).

Enterprise Education Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota and plan to pursue study in Business, Accounting, Economics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Pre-Law, or Pre-Med.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to Zetas and non-Zetas who are high school seniors and current college students. In addition to the general scholarships, there are scholarships specifically to students studying Anthropology, Counseling, Education, Health Sciences, Medicine or Social Work. In addition, there is a scholarship for students who will be studying abroad.

B. Phinizy Spalding and Hubert B. Owens Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who will pursue an undergraduate degree with a concentrated study of a minimum of 24 credit hours in American History and American Government.
