Description: Scholarships are open to high school seniors who plan on studying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) at an accredited college or university. Applicant must be a Quad City area resident in the Illinois Counties of Carroll, Henry, Knox, Lee, Mercer, Rock Island, or Whiteside, or in the Iowa Counties of Clinton, Scott, Muscatine, or Louisa.

Association of Women in Mathematics Essay Contest

Description: Contest is open to students in grades 6 through 12 and undergraduate students. Student must submit an essay based on an interview with a women currently working in a mathematical career.

EAA Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors and current college students. Applicants must be majoring in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. Description: Scholarship is open to Army, Navy (including Marine Corps option) and Air Force ROTC full-time sophomore and junior students with at least an overall 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be enrolled full-time in a degree major that is related to the mission of the AFCEA educational Foundation (Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, and other STEM related majors).

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are Jewish and was born and/or raised in the Chicago metropolitan area. Preference will be given to students with concentrations in math or business.

UNCF STEM Scholars Program

Amount: $2,500 per academic year for freshman and sophomore years, $5,000 for junior and senior year, and an additional $5,000 for students whose academic programs require a fifth year

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are African-American/Black, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and plan to study a STEM field in college, including Biological/life sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Sciences, Engineering, or Mathematics. Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are members of one of the underrepresented minority groups in the sciences or related areas of technology.
