National Italian American Foundation Scholarships

Amount: Up to $12,000
Closing Date: March 1, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, medical, and legal students who will be enrolled in higher education for the Fall 2018 semester and have a GPA of at least 3.5. Applicant must have at least one ancestor who immigrated from Italy. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships open to specific majors and state residency.

Stephen K. Hall ACWA Water Law & Policy Scholarship
Sponsor: Association of California Water Agencies
Amount: $7,000
Closing Date: March 1, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to students pursuing a graduate degree (Master’s, PhD, or Law School) in water law and policy or public administration with a demonstrated concentration in the field of water resources. Student must be enrolled full-time for the entire 2018-2019 academic year.

Description: Scholarship is open to students entering or attending law school in Fall 2018 or 2019 who show demonstrated commitment to developing a career in intellectual property law.

Michael Greenberg Student Writing Competition

Description: Competition is open to students enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school. Applicant must submit an essay on a legal issue affecting the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or intersex community.

Aaron J. Boria, PLLC, Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to undergraduate students with an interest in law school and current law students. Applicant must submit an application on their interest in law and how higher education can help reduce crime in our communities.

Spence Reese Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to male students in their senior year of high school who are planning to pursue higher education in medicine, engineering, law, or political science. Finalists are required to attend a personal interview in San Diego, California.

Eula Mae Jett Scholarship Plan

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors, current college students, and career change students who are legal residents of California and attending a school within the state of California. Applicant must plan on pursuing a career in the legal field.

George A. Strait Minority Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to college graduates who are members of a minority group as defined by current U.S. government guidelines and are degree candidates in accredited library or law schools and who intend to have a career in law librarianship.

Description: Scholarship is open to female Alabama residents attending an Alabama law school.

Law School Diversity Scholarship Program
Sponsor: Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C.

Description: Scholarship is open to students who have shown academic achievement as reflected by a minimum 3.0 GPA and have completed at least one semester of classes at an accredited law school. Applicant must be a member of an ethnic or racial minority or any individual who demonstrates a defined commitment to issues of diversity within their academic career.

V&E Diversity Scholarships
Sponsor: Vinson & Elkins
Amount: $10,000
Closing Date: April 1, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are members of a racial/ethnic group which has been historically underrepresented in the legal profession (Asian, American Indian/Alaska Native, Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, or Multiracial/two or more races) and/or identify as a member of the LGBT community. Applicant must have U.S. citizenship, residency in Houston, Dallas, Austin or surrounding areas for continuous seven years, have an interest in the legal profession, and be in the top 20% of their class.
