NCJW/LA Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarships are open to students who live and attend school in the Greater Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and Ventura Counties. Applicant must be trying to better their lives through education in the aftermath of trauma, loss and other setbacks. There are scholarships open to all majors and specific scholarships for nursing majors, mothers, non-traditional students, education majors, and film/television/cinema/theater majors.

Ossie Davis Legacy Award Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to African-American college freshman who are attending a four-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU) beginning fall 2018. Applicant must demonstrate the ability and desire to use artistic activism to proactively address the concerns of humanity. In addition to having at least a 3.0 GPA, applicant must be majoring in African-American Studies, Communications, Education, Fine Arts, Humanities, Performing Arts, Political Science, Social Sciences, Theater Arts/Drama or Visual Arts.

Bilingual Therapist Graduate Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to bilingual graduate students entering the final year of their graduate program, who speak a second language at native or near-native proficiency and are interested in working with bilingual/bicultural children after graduation.

Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents enrolled in or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university full-time in 2018. Applicant must be studying in a field that will benefit the research or clinical therapy for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Description: Scholarship is open to students who are preparing for teaching secondary school mathematics. Applicant must submit a written proposal that includes evidence of their past academic achievement in a college or university and their commitment to teaching.
