Larry E. Sitzman Youth in Nebraska Agriculture Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at a fully accredited college, university or technical college in an agriculture related degree program in Nebraska.

Berrien Fragos Thorn Arts Scholarships for Migrant Farmworkers
Sponsor: Geneseo Migrant Center
Amount: Up to $2,500
Closing Date: November 1, 2017
Description: Scholarships are open to individuals 16 years of age or older who have a history of movement to obtain work in agriculture. Applicant must demonstrate an interest in pursuing further development of their talents.

CME Beef Industry Scholarship
Sponsor: National Cattlemen’s Foundation
Amount: $1,500
Closing Date: November 15, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students enrolled at two or four-year institutions for the 2017-2018 school year. Applicant must have demonstrated a commitment to a career in the beef industry through classes, internships or life experiences.

Vermont Horse Council Adult Continuing Education Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to Vermont Horse Council adult members (older than 19 years of age) for clinics, workshops, accredited secondary education class (computer based or in person), or American Horse Council events.

SOY Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA who are children or grandchildren of current state affiliate and ASA members. Applicant must plan to declare agriculture (or a discipline in the school of Agriculture) as an area of study at an accredited college or university of their choosing.

National Corn Growers Association Photo Contest

Amount: Up to $500
Closing Date: November 30, 2017
Description: Contest is open to legal residents of the United States. Applicant must submit a photo that helps to tell the story of farming field corn in America. Participants can submit photos in the following categories: Scenery/Landscape, The Farm Family Lifestyle, Growing Field Corn, Farming Challenges, SHP’s Conservation, Corn, and Little Farmers.

NCGA William C. Berg Academic Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship
Sponsor: National Corn Growers Association
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: December 1, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to students entering at least their second undergraduate year at an accredited junior college, college or university and pursing a degree in agriculture, agribusiness, or an Ag vocation field. Applicant must be a NCGA member or son/daughter of an NCGA member.
