Blacks at Microsoft Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors of African descent who plan to attend a four-year college or university in the fall. Applicant must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, computer information systems or select business programs. Applicant must demonstrate a passion for technology, demonstrate leadership, and have at least a 3.3 GPA.

CME Group Foundation Scholars Program

Description: Scholarship is open to African American and Latino students who are current or rising undergraduate sophomores, juniors, or seniors. Applicant must be attending specific colleges in Illinois or New Jersey and must be majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Data Science, Cyber Security, Math, Statistics, or Financial Engineering.

Jerry Wheeler Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students who will be enrolled in a retail field of study during the 2020-2021 school year. Applicant must have graduated from a high school in South Dakota or has a plan to attend a college, university, or vocational school in South Dakota in the fall of 2020.

In addition to the general scholarships, there are scholarships open to students who attend school in the state of Washington, women returning to school after raising children, and minority students.

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are African Americans with intentions to enroll full-time as a freshman at a HBCU. Applicant must have interest in one of the following majors: business, information technology, finance, data sciences, communications or marketing. Preference will be given to students who enroll at Central State University, Howard University, University of District of Columbia or Wilberforce University. Preference will also be given to students who are active high school participants in a Best Buy Teen Tech Center or key non-profit partner. The selection process will focus first on students from Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri or Ohio.

Burlington North Santa Fe (BNSF) Foundation Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to West Virginia residents who will be entering their junior year of college or second year of law school. Applicant must be enrolled in a Civil Engineering, General Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Accounting baccalaureate degree or Juris Doctorate degree at a state accredited college or university. Applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
