Surety Foundation Minority Internship & Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students at accredited four-year educational institutions who are U.S. citizens. Applicant must be a minority student (Black/African-American, Native American/Alaskan Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, or Hispanic ethnic origin). Ideally, applicant should be a declared accounting, business/finance or insurance/risk management major and applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Girls* Who Illustrate Awesomeness Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to college women (*or gender non-conforming individuals) of color who are actively working to change the world. Applicant must be currently enrolled or will begin college/university in the spring semester of 2018. Applicant must submit an essay or video sharing on how they are going to change the world. Only the first 150 applications will be accepted.

Tech Titans Diversity Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors and current college students. Applicant must create an account with Everipedia, choose an individual from their list of underrepresented minority tech and science people, research the person, and create an entry for that person on Everipedia.

Generation Google Scholarship For Current University Students

Description: Scholarship is open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a computer science or computer engineering degree, or a degree in a closely related technical field. Applicant must be a student from an underrepresented group in computer science (African American, Hispanic, American Indian, or Filipino/Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander).

Predoctoral Fellowship

Amount: $24,000
Closing Date: December 14, 2017
Description: Fellowship is open to all citizens, and permanent residents of the United States, as well as individuals granted deferred action status under the DACA program. Applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an eligible research-based program leading to a Ph.D. or Sc.D. degree at a non-proprietary U.S. institution of higher education. Applicant must be committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level. Membership in one or more of the following groups whose underrepresentation in the American professoriate will be considered a positive factor when choosing candidates: Alaskan Natives, Black/African Americans, Mexican Americans/Chicanas/Chicanos, Native American Indians, Native Pacific Islanders, and Puerto Ricans.
