Photography Scholarships

Do you like taking photos? There are scholarships and contests out there that ask for your best photo. Some program simply ask for a photo while others ask for a description or essay explaining the photo. Check out these scholarships that ask for a photo.

Belin Arts Scholarship

Amount: Up to $12,000
Closing Date: December 15, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to individuals with talent in painting, sculpture, photography, music, drama, dance, literature, or architecture. Preference will be given to residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Pretty Lightroom Presets Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors, students transferring from high school to college, and current college students in the United States and Canada. Applicant must submit an essay and photos on topic related to Adobe Lightroom.

Photography Talk Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who have an interest in photography. Applicant must submit an essay or video on given questions related to photography.

Transcend Photo Essay Contest

Closing Date: January 19, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to current undergraduate and graduate students who have at least a 2.0 GPA. Applicant must submit a short form and a photo that captures the theme “Transcend.”

Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest

Amount: $10,000
Closing Date: March 1, 2019
Description: Scholarship contest is open to all high school, college and university students enrolled at any time during the latter half of 2018 who are at least 14 years of age. Applicant must be a legal resident of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or U.S. territories. Applicant must submit a photo, artwork or computer graphic for the front of a greeting card.

Frame My Future Contest

Amount: Up to $5,000
Closing Date: April 1, 2019
Description: Contest is open to legal U.S. residents who will be a full-time student at a U.S. college or university in the 2019-2020 academic year. Applicant must share how they envision their future. Student can choose to share through poetry, photography, ink, collage, painting, mixed media, or graphic design – as long as it is an original creation.

CARiD Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled in post-secondary education in the upcoming semester who are between the ages of 16 and 20 years old. Applicant must submit a photo inspired by any aspect of the automotive industry.

Practice Acts of Kindness Mini Contest

Closing Date: May 1, 2019
Description: Contest is open to students aged 4 to 18 years of age worldwide. Student must share their random or non-random acts of kindness by creating a video, poem, story, drawing, photograph, or anything else that captures one of their acts of kindness.
