Scholarships for Non-Traditional Students

Many scholarships have age limits, leaving non-traditional college students (over 25 years of age) out of luck. However, there are still many scholarships out there that have no age requirements, or are specifically open to non-traditional college students.

Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current undergraduate and graduate students who are planning to major in Life Sciences or a related field. Applicant must fill out a short online application, explain “why life science” and their favorite discovery.

Creative Biolabs Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to students worldwide who are current undergraduate or graduate students studying in a science related field. Applicant must have a cumulative average grade of a B (3.0 GPA).

Innovation in Education Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in high school or college within the United States with at least 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be a citizen of, permanent resident, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others and submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation.

Jan Egerton and Don Smitley Mesothelioma Scholarship

Amount: Up to $2,500
Closing Date: July 20, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are 18 years of age or older and are currently enrolled in a college or university within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to Mesothelioma.

Newfangled Networks Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to legal residents of the Untied States and valid student visa holders who are currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an accredited U.S. university, college or school.
