Scholarships for High School Seniors

College is right around the corner. Here are scholarships open to high school seniors who are off to college in the fall.

Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund
Sponsor: Asian Pacific Fund
Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: February 26, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to incoming college freshmen of Filipino heritage (at least 50%) who will be majoring in engineering, mathematics, computer science, environmental or physical science. Applicant must be a permanent resident of California.

Diamond State Scholarship
Sponsor: Delaware Department of Education
Amount: $1,250 per year
Closing Date: February 26, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors who rank in the upper quarter of their class and who are legal residents of Delaware. Applicant must be enrolling as a full-time student in a degree program at a nonprofit, regionally accredited institution.

Doodle 4 Google

Amount: $30,000
Closing Date: February 26, 2021
Description: Program is open to students in grades kindergarten through twelfth grades. Student must create an uplifting doodle that tells the world “I am strong because…”

Educators Credit Union Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who have an account at Educators Credit Union (custodial accounts qualify – Wisconsin).

Goya Foods Culinary Arts Scholarship Program

Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: February 26, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to incoming college freshman who will be majoring in Culinary Arts or Food Science. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or qualify for DACA.

Iowa Financial Know-How Challenge: Senior Scholarship
Sponsor: Iowa Student Loan
Amount: $2,000
Closing Date: February 26, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are permanent residents of Iowa and plan to attend college in fall 2021. Applicant must complete two online financial literacy tutorials and a related online assessment.

RMEL Foundation Scholarships
Sponsor: Rocky Mountain Electric League (RMEL)
Amount: Up to $3,000
Closing Date: February 26, 2021
Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students who live in a service areas of a RMEL member company (308 RMEL member companies across 38 states – see website for list of utility company members). Applicant must be planning or currently studying in engineering, business, information systems, plant, line or distribution technology, line worker, or other curriculum related to the electric energy industry.

Ruiz 4 Kids Scholarships

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: February 26, 2021
Description: Scholarships are open to high school seniors who live within 35 or 50 miles of an area with a Ruiz Foods presence (Dinuba or Tulare, California; Denison, Texas; or Florence, South Carolina – see website for details).

$1,000 Easy Scholarship: Ask a Grandparent or Older Adult to Share a Story

Closing Date: February 28, 2021
Description: You could win an easy $1,000 scholarship by swapping stories with an older adult in your life to decrease isolation during COVID-19. Research shows that encouraging older adults to share their stories benefits the emotional, physical, and mental well-being of older adults, and leads to greater empathy and stronger connection with the listener (that’s you!). Call or video chat with an older adult in your life (a grandparent, family member, friend, any older person you admire) and ask them to share a story from their life with you. You’ll automatically earn verified volunteer hours, and you’ll be entered for the chance to win a $1,000 scholarship!
