Scholarships for High School Seniors

College is right around the corner. Here are scholarships open to high school seniors who are off to college in the fall.

Reel Milk Moments Video Contest

Amount: Up to $8,000
Closing Date: November 17, 2019
Description: Contest is open to legal residents of Arizona who are 17 years of age or older and are (or will be) enrolled in a post-secondary school (university, college, or community college) in the state of Arizona for the 2020 fall term with at least 12 credit hours. Student must create a “reel” Milk Moment video, lasting 30 seconds or less, featuring their favorite dairy product(s). Beginning August 28, each week through November 17, one weekly finalist will be selected based on their entry.

Description: Scholarship is open to all high school, college, and graduate students and those planning to enroll within 12 months. Applicant must be a legal residents of the United States and international students with valid visas. Applicant must login or create an account with Niche.

Innovation in Education Scholarship

Closing Date: November 20, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in high school or college within the United States with at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be a citizen of, permanent resident, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others and submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program

Amount: Up to $40,000 per year
Closing Date: November 13, 2019  – extended to November 20, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who have at least at 3.5 GPA and at least 1200 on the SAT and/or 26 on the ACT. Scholars are selected based on exceptional academic ability and achievement, financial need, persistence, service to others, and leadership.

Greenhouse Scholars Scholarship

Amount: Up to $5,000 per year for four years
Closing Date: November 22, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors planning to attend a four-year accredited academic institution. Applicant must demonstrate financial need (annual household income no greater than $70,000) and have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and a legal resident of Colorado, Georgia, Illinois or North Carolina.

Real World Design Challenge

Description: Participation is limited to students living in OR enrolled in schools located in a state or territory that is hosting a State Competition. To be eligible to compete as a student team member, a student must be currently enrolled in grade nine, ten, eleven or twelve. Students will be asked to address a challenge that confronts our nation’s leading industries. Students will utilize professional engineering software to develop their solutions and will also generate presentations that convincingly demonstrate the value of their solutions.

Young Innovators to Watch National Competition

Description: Award is open to individuals and small teams, ages 13 to 20, who have created an innovative technical or scientific project. Projects must be original work, and may have been developed as a result of school, extracurricular, or outside-of-school activities.

Ambassador of Aloha Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students attending an accredited college or high school seniors demonstrating financial aid. Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii, have at least a 3.0 GPA, and participate in canoeing, surfing, kayaking, swimming, water polo, or volleyball, with a record of accomplishments and intention to compete in college.

Chick and Sophie Major Memorial Duck Calling Contest Scholarships

Description: Scholarship competition is open to graduating high school seniors. Applicant must participate in a duck calling contest in Stuttgart, Arkansas to be considered for the award.

10 Words or Less Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students between the ages of 14-25 who will be attending school in the Fall of 2020. Applicant must share in 10 words or less why they deserve the scholarship.

Description: Scholarship is open to high school and college students in the United States who are/will be enrolled in college within the next 12 months. Description: Scholarship is open to students 13 years of age or older who are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and are currently enrolled (or will enroll no later than the fall of 2025) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education.
