Scholarships for Current College Students

If you’re currently in college and financial aid did not cover the full cost of attendance, these scholarships are for you. The scholarships below are open to current undergraduate college student.

Education Advantage Scholarships for Our Community

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and college students with hemophilia A or B, including those with inhibitors (factor VII or IX deficiency), or von Willebrand’s Disease.

Tri-Valley Retired Educators’ Scholarship Award
Sponsor: California Retired Teachers Association Tri-Valley Division 85
Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: March 24, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors, community college transfer students, and four-year college/university students who will complete the sophomore year by the end of spring term 2017. Applicant must be a resident of Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, or Sunol (California) with plans of having a career in education.

UNCF General Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled at an UNCF affiliated college or university. Applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA and have demonstrated financial need.

Jan Egerton and Don Smitley Mesothelioma Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are 18 years of age or older and are currently enrolled in a college or university within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to Mesothelioma.

Jerry Greenspan Student Voice of Mental Health Award

Description: Scholarship is open to undergraduate college students who are raising awareness of mental health issues on campus, reducing prejudice around mental illness, and encouraging help-seeking among their peers.

Mesothelioma Essay Contest

Amount: Up to $5,000
Closing Date: March 25, 2017
Description: Contest is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are 18 years of age or older and currently enrolled in a college or university located within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to Mesothelioma.

Herman J. Smith Scholarship

Closing Date: March 26, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to current undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in construction management, mortgage finance, or a construction related field at an accredited four-year institution. Preference will be given to legal residents of Texas, or students attending an academic institution in Texas, as well as current members of a student chapter of the National Association of Home Builders.
