There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

Pulaski Scholarships for Advanced Studies

Description: Scholarship is open to citizens of the United States who are of Polish ancestry and who are classified as a graduate student enrolled at an accredited university in the United States.

Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte Foundation Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. Citizens who are high school seniors and will be graduating from a high school located in a Central Texas County. Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA and show financial need.

ACEC Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to students seeking degrees in engineering who will be entering their junior, senior, fifth, or master’s degree year in the fall at an ABET-accredited engineering program or in an accredited land-surveying program.

AMS Senior Named Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to students entering their final year of undergraduate study in the fall of 2020 and are pursuing a degree in the atmospheric or related sciences. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or hold permanent residence status and must have at least a 3.25 GPA.

ASIST – Albuquerque Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to non-traditional students who live within the boundaries of the Albuquerque Chapter and who are past high school age and who are either entering college or already enrolled in college. ASIST – Columbus Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to female incoming and current non-traditional students in Central Ohio. Special consideration will be given to students with financial need, socially, physically and economically challenged adults, and preference is given to those with children residing in the home.

Description: Competition is open to Central Florida residents who are in high school or home school equivalent (grades 9-12). Applicant must submit a project in a Physical Science category.

EWISP – Dallas Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors located within the boundaries of the Dallas Chapter. Applicant must demonstrate financial need, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and have contributed to their community as demonstrated by their involvement in extracurricular activities, work, religious, or volunteer activities. Only one student per school is eligible to apply. Applicant must contact a school official and be selected to submit the EWISP scholarship application.

Greenfield Peace Scholarship
Sponsor: Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility

Description: Scholarship is open to high school juniors and seniors in Oregon who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color). Applicant must submit a video performance (three minute max) of their own original poem, song, or rap answering the following prompt: “Half of the US discretionary budget goes to the military every year. How would you spend it instead?”

IACAC Transfer Scholarship
Sponsor: Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC)
Amount: $500

Description: Scholarship is open to students who have completed a minimum of 36 semester hours at an Illinois community college with at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be an applicant to an IACAC member four-year institution.

Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in high school or college within the United States with at least 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be a citizen of, permanent resident, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others and submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation.

SAWF Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current college students who are Asian and/or Pacific Islander. Applicant must be majoring in engineering, computer science, or environmental sciences. Description: Competition is open to currently enrolled high school, college/university, technical school, and graduate school students who are studying design, engineering, architecture, or related fields. Applicant must enter their unique and original design that shows off their talent, ingenuity and creativity by designing components, systems, products, or product assemblies that feature aluminum extrusions.
