There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

Description: Scholarship is open to graduates of Weston County (Wyoming) high schools and GED recipients of Weston County who wish to attend a Wyoming community college or the University of Wyoming. Preference will go to those pursuing degrees in agriculture and nursing, but all areas of study are considered.

American Legion – Department of Kansas Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors and current college students from the state of Kansas. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships open to children of veterans, Scouts, athletes, and students with talent in music and public speaking.

Beverage Industry Scholarship Program

Amount: Up to $5,000
Closing Date: February 15, 2021
Description: Scholarships are open to children, grandchildren and legal guardians of persons who currently hold full-time employment with a company with a valid California beer, liquor or wine license. This includes restaurants, hotels, retail and wholesale grocery, airlines, breweries, wineries, distributors, etc. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or community college transfer student who will be attending an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.

Bullard Family Scholarship
Sponsor: The North Carolina Baptist Foundation, Inc.
Amount: Up to $2,500
Closing Date: February 15, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to North Carolina residents who have been accepted or currently enrolled full-time in a degree program at any institution of higher learning. Applicant must be committed to preparing for full-time Christian ministry and be a member (or parents are a member) of a church affiliated with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.

California Strawberry Scholarships

Connor Group Kids and Community Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors and current college students attending or planning to attend an accredited U.S. college or university. Applicant must have a family income of $75,000 or less. Description: Fellowship is open to current, full-time graduate students who excel in science and have an interest in the field of the gut microbiome’s effect on human health and well-being, or in the nutritional and functional benefits of yogurt.

DEED Educational Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current full-time students attending an accredited institution in the United States. Applicant must be working toward a career at an electric utility. Description: Scholarship is open to residents of Marathon, Lincoln, and Shawano Counties (Wisconsin) who are of Hmong descent and is a graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student. Applicant must demonstrate concern and commitment to improving the Hmong community.

HSF General College Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to students of Hispanic descent who are graduating high school seniors, community colleges students, transfer students, college students, or graduate students. All majors and graduate fields are accepted, but there is an emphasis on STEM majors.

IAA Foundation Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to high school graduates and graduating high school seniors who are Illinois Farm Bureau members, spouses of a member, or a member’s child. Applicant must be accepted for enrollment or enrolled at an accredited college, university, community college or trade school majoring in agriculture, agribusiness, or a closely related field.

Iowa Cheerleading Coaches’ Association Scholarships

Junior Duck Stamp Contest

Description: Contest is open to students in grades K-12 who attend public, private, or home schools in the United States and the U.S. territories. Contestant must draw, paint, or sketch a picture of an eligible North American waterfowl species. Deadline only for Massachusetts. California and Maryland deadlines has already passed, but all other states have later deadlines – see website for details.

Ned McWherter Scholars Program
Sponsor: Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation

Description: Scholars program is open to Tennessee graduating high school seniors who have at least a 3.5 GPA and have a minimum composite score of 29 on the ACT (or concordant equivalent score on the SAT). Applicant must be planning to attend college in Tennessee.

OAC Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to high school seniors preparing to enter college or any other undergraduate student currently enrolled in college. Applicants or their parents or legal guardian must be a resident of the State of Ohio. Applicant must have declared, or plan to declare, a major in agriculture.

Past Presidents’ Legacy Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors of any Wyoming High School and graduates attending the University of Wyoming or other in-state junior and community colleges. Applicant must submit a sample piece of artwork they feel best exemplifies their artistic style.

UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to students living with epilepsy or students who are a family member or caregiver of a person living with epilepsy. Applicant must be seeking an associate’s, undergraduate, or graduate degree program during the fall of 2021.

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors of any Wyoming High School and past graduates of Wyoming High Schools who are studying in the field of aviation. Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship

Description: Applicant must be a dependent child of a full-time employee in the financial services industry. Employee must be presently employed with five years of experience OR no longer employed in the field but had ten years of experience which ended no longer than five years prior to scholarship. Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are enrolling as a full-time first-year student in pursuit of a four-year bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university in the United States. Description: Scholarship is open to a dependent child of a current customer, or current customers, of one of Alliant Energy’s utility subsidiaries (Interstate Power and Light or Wisconsin Power and Light) who plans to enroll in, for the first time, beginning in the fall of 2021, a full-time undergraduate course of study in a business or STEM major at an accredited institution within the Alliant Energy service territory (Iowa or Wisconsin).

Innovation in Education Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in high school or college within the United States with at least 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be a citizen of, permanent resident, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others and submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation.

Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors graduating in the spring of 2021. Applicant must be a vegetarian and have promoted vegetarianism in their school and/or community.
