Do you like making a difference in your school or community? If you do, DoSomething has many campaigns to make a difference, and for participating, you will be entered to win a scholarship! Below are campaigns from DoSomething that are accepting entries in June.

$1,500 Easy Scholarship: Give a Friend a Digital Road Safety Card
Amount: $1,500

Description: You could win an easy $1,500 scholarship by sharing a digital card to help a friend stay safe on the road. About 6 out of 10 teen crashes involve distracted driving, but 81% of people say they’d be less likely to drive distracted if their close friends and family encouraged them not to. Take our Road Safety quiz to receive a customized digital road safety card (or one you can print). 1,000 Scholarship: Have a Conversation and Disrupt Racism in Your Community
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: July 30, 2020
Description: You could win a $1,000 scholarship by starting a conversation with friends and family about how to disrupt racism in your community. We also will donate $1,000 to a Black-led, DoSomething-approved organization fighting for racial justice of the scholarship winner’s choosing. The recent wave of worldwide protests sparked by the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, amidst others, highlight the injustices, fear, and violence that Black Americans face on a daily basis because of white supremacy. If you identify as Black: Share our self-care for young Black activists guide with a friend. If you identify as white or a non-Black person of color: Use our guide to start a conversation about disrupting racism with someone you care about. (Winner can donate their $1,000 scholarship winnings to the same organization if they choose.)

$1,000 Easy Scholarship: Celebrate Pride (While Staying Safe) During COVID-19
Amount: $1,000

Description: You could win an easy $1,000 scholarship by making a Pride-themed face mask or hanging up signs to show LGBTQ youth that they are not alone this June. The COVID-19 outbreak has put LGBTQ youth at a greater risk, and efforts to proactively support LGBTQ+ young people in non-supportive environments can help promote physical and emotional safety. Make visible supportive markers such as the Pride rainbow colors to help LGBTQ+ youth identify supportive communities. You’ll automatically enter to win a $1,000 scholarship!

$1,000 Easy Scholarship: Send Tips on How to Manage Stress to Help Us Create a Mental Health Guide

Description: Your classmates and friends could use some mental health support in 2020, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. Eligibility Information

While there is no GPA, test score, or essay requirements, there are some eligibility requirements students must meet to enter any of the above scholarship opportunities:

  • US or Canadian citizens, regardless of residence OR reside in the U.S. or Canada.
  • 13 to 25 years of age.

The above scholarship contests are easy to enter and you’ll be making a difference. Check them out and participate before the closing dates.
