Description: You could win an easy $1,000 scholarship by swapping stories with an older adult to decrease isolation during COVID-19. Research shows that encouraging older adults to share their stories benefits the emotional, physical, and mental well-being of older adults, and leads to greater empathy and stronger connection with the listener (that’s you!). Call or video chat with an older adult in your life (a grandparent, family member, friend, any older person you admire) and ask them to share a story from their life with you. You’ll be automatically entered to win a $1,000 scholarship. Yep, it’s that easy!

Eligibility Information

While there is no GPA, test score, or essay requirements, there are some eligibility requirements students must meet to enter any of the above scholarship opportunities:

  • US or Canadian citizens, regardless of residence OR reside in the U.S. or Canada.
  • 13 to 25 years of age.

The above scholarship contests are easy to enter and you’ll be making a difference. Check them out and participate before the closing dates.
