November 2019 Scholarships

Attending college can be quite expensive for students and their families. Luckily, there are many college scholarships and contests available to help pay for a college education. Students should seek out and apply for scholarships in which they meet the eligibility requirements. Below are a handful of scholarships with November 2019 due dates. Check out the full list of November Scholarships – there are currently over 100 scholarships on the list! More scholarships will be added as they become available.

Share a Positive Post to Cancel Bullying

Closing Date: November 1, 2019
Description: You could win an easy $5,000 scholarship by hanging a positive poster in your school to drown out bullying and spread good vibes. Young Writers Awards
Sponsor: Bennington College
Amount: Up to $500
Closing Date: November 1, 2019
Description: Students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades can enter in one of the following categories: poetry (a group of three poems), fiction (a short story or one-act play), or nonfiction (a personal or academic essay. All entries must be original work and sponsored by a high school teacher).

Prudential Spirit of Community Award
Sponsor: Prudential Financial, Inc.
Amount: Up to $5,000
Closing Date: November 5, 2019
Description: Award is open to all young people in grades 5-12 who live in the 50 United States and Washington, D.C., and have conducted a volunteer service activity within the past year.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program
Sponsor: Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
Amount: Up to $40,000 per year
Closing Date: November 13, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who have at least at 3.5 GPA and at least 1200 on the SAT and/or 26 on the ACT. Scholars are selected based on exceptional academic ability and achievement, financial need, persistence, service to others, and leadership.

Regeneron Science Talent Search (Regeneron STS)
Sponsor: Society for Science and the Public
Amount: Up to $250,000
Closing Date: November 13, 2019
Description: Talent search is open to any student who is enrolled in and attending his or her last year of secondary school in the United States or its territories. Applicant must conduct independent science, math or engineering research.

Hagan Scholarships
Sponsor: Hagan Scholarship Foundation
Amount: Up to $6,000 each semester
Closing Date: November 15, 2019
Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors with at least a 3.5 GPA and from a rural area (a county with less than 50,000 people). Applicant must live in an eligible state (see website for details – Middle America) and demonstrate financial need.

Real World Design Challenge
Sponsor: Real World Design Challenge
Amount: Varies
Closing Date: November 22, 2019
Description: Participation is limited to students living in OR enrolled in schools located in a state or territory that is hosting a State Competition. To be eligible to compete as a student team member, a student must be currently enrolled in grade nine, ten, eleven or twelve. Students will be asked to address a challenge that confronts our nation’s leading industries. Students will utilize professional engineering software to develop their solutions and will also generate presentations that convincingly demonstrate the value of their solutions.

Education Matters Scholarship
Sponsor: Unigo
Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: November 30, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to students 13 years of age or older who are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and are currently enrolled (or will enroll no later than the fall of 2025) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Applicant will need to submit a short response to a given prompt.

National Corn Growers Association Photo Contest
Sponsor: National Corn Growers Association
Amount: Up to $500
Closing Date: November 30, 2019
Description: Contest is open to legal residents of the United States. Applicant must submit a photo that helps to tell the story of farming field corn in America. Participants can submit photos in the following categories: Scenery/Landscape, The Farm Family Lifestyle, Growing Field Corn, Farming Challenges, SHP’s Conservation, Corn, and Little Farmers.

Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
Sponsor: Smithsonian Magazine
Amount: UP to $2,500
Closing Date: November 30, 2019
Description: Contest is open to individuals worldwide who are at least 18 years of age. Contestant can submit photos in the categories of Natural World, Travel, People, The American Experience, Altered Images, or Mobile.
