Do Something About Gun Violence: Share Your Thoughts
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: February 1-14, 2019; February 15-28, 2019
About: February 14, 2019 marks the one year anniversary of the Parkland school shooting, which took the lives of 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
How to enter: Simply share your thoughts in the DoSomething portal and they will send it to your state’s elected officials. You’ll be helping elected officials understand how young people feel about this issue and you’ll automatically be entered to win the scholarship.

Grab the Mic: Make a Phone Call
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: February 1-14, 2019; February 15-28, 2019
About: In 2018, young people turned out to vote at historic and extraordinary rates that haven’t seen for over 25 years.
How to enter: Make your voice heard on the issues that matter most to you by making a phone call to your representative. Every phone call gives you an entry to win the scholarship. Unlimited entries!

Give your Friend a Card
Scholarship Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: February 21, 2019
About: We all have a friend who’s awesome at something but needs a little boost of confidence to realize their true potential.
How to enter: This V-Day season, you could win the scholarship by making a card for your friend who needs a little boost of confidence to realize their true potential. Take a picture of you giving the card to your friend and you’ll be entered to win the scholarship. Unlimited entries!

Collect Items for a Homeless Shelter
Scholarship Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: March 31, 2019
About: On any given day there are 600,000 people experiencing homelessness in America. About one-quarter of them are teenagers or children.
How to enter: You can win the scholarship by providing daily essentials (like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and nonperishable foods) to a local homeless shelter. Snap a picture of you and the items you are donating and you’ll be entered to win the scholarship. Unlimited entries.

Eligibility Information

While there is no GPA, test score, or essay requirements, there are some eligibility requirements students must meet to enter any of the above scholarship opportunities:

• US or Canadian citizens, regardless of residence OR reside in the U.S. or Canada.
• 13 to 25 years of age.
