Scholarship Saturday – September 29, 2018

There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

Closing Date: October 26, 2018
Description: Sweepstakes is open to high school seniors and college undergraduates with permanent residence in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia. Students can enter online or by mail once during each two-week drawing period.

U.S. Bank Scholarship Program
Sponsor: U.S. Bank
Amount: Up to $20,000
Closing Date: October 26, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to students who will be enrolled in college by Sept. 1, 2018. Applicant must complete a scholarship application and all eight Financial Genius for Life education modules available at the scholarship website.

New Energy College Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: October 28, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who are lat least 16 years of age. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to green energy technology.

State of Sleep Scholarship
Sponsor: The Sleep Judge
Amount: $1,500
Closing Date: October 30, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the United States or Canada OR current college students already studying at an accredited U.S. or Canadian post-secondary institution with at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicant must submit a video on a given topic related to sleep.

Steel Scholarships
Sponsor: Association for Iron & Steel Technology
Amount: $3,000
Closing Date: October 30, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled full-time in a four-year undergraduate program at an accredited North American university. Applicant must be majoring in engineering/engineering technology majors and have at least a 2.5 GPA.

AceableAgent Higher Education Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: October 31, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current university, post-graduate, community and technical college students in the United States. Applicant must submit an essay or video on what home is to them.

ACFEF Scholarships for Apprenticeship, Certificate and Post-Secondary Degree Programs
Sponsor: American Culinary Federation
Amount: Up to $2,500
Closing Date: October 31, 2018
Description: Scholarships are open to exemplary students who are currently enrolled in an accredited, post-secondary college, with a major in either culinary or pastry arts, or be an ACFEF registered apprentice.

AFCCE Scholarships

Amount: Up to $2,500
Closing Date: October 31, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to college students undertaking a full-time undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited U.S. college or university with a major in engineering or science and related to the telecommunications field.

American Association of Japanese University Women Scholarship Program

Amount: $2,000
Closing Date: October 31, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to female students enrolled in an accredited California college or university who have junior, senior, or graduate standing in the school year 2018-2019. Applicant must demonstrate a desire and intent to fulfill a leadership role in their chosen field of study and be a contributor to U.S.-Japan relations and cultural exchanges.

American Bullion Scholarship Program

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: October 31, 2018
Description: Scholarship is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled at an accredited college or university within the United States who are legal residents of the United States or hold a valid U.S. student visa. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to gold.

Apartment Guide Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students who are enrolled or accepted as a full-time student at an accredited college or university for the 2019 semester. Applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate degree and have at least a 2.5 GPA. Applicant must submit an essay on, “What makes a home a home?”
