Scholarship Saturday – August 4, 2018

There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

Description: Contest is open to enlisted personnel – active duty, reserve and retired-from any the nation’s sea services. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to naval intelligence.

“You Deserve It” Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students who are residents of any of the 50 United States, District of Columbia or U.S. Territories and are 16 years of age or older and are either enrolled now, or will be enrolled within three months of registration in a qualified high school, college or university in the United States.

Sleeping Angels Co. Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled as a college/university student within the United States who are American citizens, permanent residents, or hold a valid student visa. Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Student must submit an essay describing the evolution of the nanny in the 21st century.

Description: Scholarship is open to high school, college, and graduate students and those planning to enroll within 12 months. Back to School Fall 2018 Scholarship*

Description: Scholarship is open to permanent legal U.S. residents physically residing in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 16 years old and currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States. Applicant must answer a short question, give course advice, upload eight study documents, and share on social media.

Butt Invasion Scholarship

Description: Contest is open to registered Fastweb members (free to sign-up) who are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and who are between the ages of 15 and 24 years of age. Applicant must answer some questions related to cigarettes and smoking. Truth (the sponsor) wants to be the generation that ends smoking for good and cleans up the environment doing it.

Grab the Mic: Make a Poster to Educate Others on Sexual Harassment

Description: Nearly half of students (and over half of all girls) in grades seven to 12 report experiencing some form of sexual harassment. You could win an easy $3,000 scholarship by making a poster with important facts about sexual harassment. Law Enforcement Family Member Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students (undergraduate or graduate) enrolled at either an accredited law school or accredited university. The student must have a family member (such as a parent, spouse, or sibling) who is or was an active member of law enforcement, including reserve officers and retired, deceased or disabled officers.
