Scholarship Saturday – October 7, 2017

There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

Scholarship for Study Abroad in New Zealand

Description: Scholarship is open to legal U.S. residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia (except Rhode Island) and Canadian residents who are 18 years of age or older who would like to study abroad in New Zealand. Applicant must write a short essay why they want to study abroad in New Zealand and a creative photo.

ICAE Scholarship Program
Sponsor: Inter-Tribal Council of AT&T Employees
Amount: Up to $1,000
Closing Date: October 14, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to Native American high school seniors and current undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants will be evaluated based on their scholastic discipline, personal achievement, and community involvement.

#FreeCommunityCollegeStory Video Competition
Sponsor: Heads Up America!
Amount: $2,000
Closing Date: October 15, 2017
Description: Competition is open to U.S. residents who are 16 years of age or older who have or are thinking about attending a community college. Applicant must post a video on Instagram answering the question, “if community college were free, I will…”

FMA Foundation Scholarship Program
Sponsor: The Risk Management Association (RMA Foundation)
Amount: Up to 45,000
Closing Date: October 22, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to students who have completed a minimum of two years of college education and are currently enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. or Canada for the entire 2017-2018 academic year. Applicant must have the intent to work in the banking industry following graduation and must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

“You Deserve It” Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: October 29, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to students who are residents of any of the 50 United States, District of Columbia or U.S. Territories and are 16 years of age or older and are either enrolled now, or will be enrolled within three months of registration in a qualified high school, college or university in the United States.

Sleeping Angels Co. Scholarship Program

Amount: $500
Closing Date: October 30, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled as a college/university student within the United States who are American citizens, permanent residents, or hold a valid student visa. Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Student must submit an essay describing the evolution of the nanny in the 21st century.

Description: Scholarship is open to high school and college students in the United States who are/will be enrolled in college within the next 12 months.
