Description: Scholarship is available to survivors or immediate family members of survivors, of car accidents, medical malpractice, or other incidents where someone else’s negligence caused them harm. Applicant must be a current college student.

Ricoh Scholarship Program
Sponsor: UNCF | Ricoh
Amount: Up to $2,500
Closing Date: October 6, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to students in their sophomore or junior year of college in the fall of 2017 at a Historically Black College/University (HBCU). Applicant must be majoring in Accounting, Business Operations, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Finance, or Information Technology.

MUFG Union Bank Scholarship Program

Amount: $5,400
Closing Date: October 15, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to juniors, seniors, and graduate students who are enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited college or university in the fall of 2017. Applicant must be pursuing a degree in Accounting, Banking, Business, Economics, Finance, or Information Technology and must have a minimum GPA of at 3.3. Preference or priority will be given to candidates who are permanent residents of California, New York, New Jersey, or Arizona, and first generation college students.

Ossie Davis Scholars Program

Amount: Up to $6,800
Closing Date: October 15, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to African-American college freshman who are attending a four-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU) beginning fall 2017. Applicant must demonstrate the ability and desire to use artistic activism to proactively address the concerns of humanity. In addition to having at least a 3.0 GPA, applicant must be majoring in African-American Studies, Communications, Education, Fine Arts, Humanities, Performing Arts, Political Science, Social Sciences, Theater Arts/Drama or Visual Arts.

Halloween Express Summer/Fall 2017 Scholarship Contest

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: October 15, 2017 (extended from September 30, 2017)
Description: Scholarship is open to students of all fields of study who are at least 18 years of age or older and have been accepted to or enrolled in an accredited post secondary undergraduate program or college located in the United States. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to a dog.

Doctoral Degree Scholarships in Cancer Nursing
Sponsor: American Cancer Society
Amount: Up to $15,000
Closing Date: October 16, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to graduate students pursuing doctoral study in the field of cancer nursing research and preparing for careers as nurse scientists.

Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award

Amount: Up to $10,000
Closing Date: October 16, 2017
Description: Award is open to classical instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers between the ages of 8 and 18 who have not yet entered college during the 2017-2018 academic year. This is the first deadline. Deadline II is January 8, 2018, and Deadline III is March 5, 2018.

The Music Center Spotlight Program
Sponsor: The Music Center
Amount: Up to $5,000
Closing Date: October 16, 2017
Description: Program is open to Southern California high school students who have talent in Acting, Non-Classical Voice, Classical Voice, Non-Classical Dance, Ballet, Jazz Instrumental and Classical Instrumental. Applicant must submit an audition video.

College JumpStart Scholarship
Sponsor: The College JumpStart Scholarship Fund
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: October 17, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to students in 10th through 12th grades, college students, and non-traditional students. Applicant must submit a personal essay.
