Do you like making a difference in your school or community? If you do, DoSomething has many campaigns to make a difference, and for participating, you will be entered to win a scholarship! Below are campaigns from DoSomething accepting entries in February.

Make a Valentine’s Day Card! – Love Letters Challenge
Scholarship Amount: $3,000
Closing Date: February 10, 2017
About: Getting older can be pretty lonely. In fact, as of 2012, 11.8 million American seniors live alone and face isolation due to location, disability, or language barriers.
How to enter: Create one thoughtful card for a senior and upload a pic of the card.

Missing History – Make a Historical Bookmark for Black History Month!
Scholarship Amount: $3,000
Closing Date: February 28, 2017
About: In 2015, a leading publisher’s geography textbook described slavery as African workers immigrating to the U.S. “to work on agricultural plantations.” These kinds of errors and omissions are known as “erasure” and appear in textbooks all over the country.
How to enter: During Black History Month, make a bookmark telling the story of an often-forgotten figure or event. Simply make 1 bookmark, place in your textbook, and upload a pic of it. Unlimited entries, but you must make at least 1 bookmark to qualify.

I Beat Bullying – Share Tips to Beat Bullying
Scholarship Amount: $3,000
Closing Date: February 28, 2017
About: Almost 1 in 4 students reports being bullied at school. Let’s Do Something about it.
How to enter: Grab a pen and paper and make a sign that says, “I Beat Bullying By ________.” Fill in the blank to help others overcome difficult times.

1-5 – Share Tips to Promote Healthy Relationships
Scholarship Amount: $3,000
Closing Date: February 28, 2017
About: As many as 1 in 5 young people will experience dating abuse, with young women having a higher likelihood.
How to enter: Sign up for facts on unhealthy relationships and access to DoSomething’s digital Spot the Signs Guide. Share the guide online to help a friend spot signs of dating abuse and upload a screenshot.

Eligibility Information

While there is no GPA, test score, or essay requirements, there are some eligibility requirements students must meet to enter any of the above scholarship opportunities:

  • US or Canadian citizens, regardless of residence OR reside in the U.S. or Canada.
  • 13 to 25 years of age.

The above scholarship contests are easy to enter and you’ll be making a difference. Check them out and participate before the closing dates.
