Attending college can be quite expensive for students and their families. Luckily, there are many college scholarships and contests available to help pay for a college education. Students should seek out and apply for scholarships in which they meet the eligibility requirements. Below are 48 college scholarships and contests with October 2015 deadlines. Only brief information about each scholarship is listed. Therefore, students are encouraged to visit the scholarship websites to get further details about eligibility and requirements.

For every bag (approximately 250 cigarette butts) the student collects, they receive a chance for the scholarship, up to four chances.

    • If you’re still in school, including college, it is never too late to apply for scholarships! Please share with with any students you know.

  7. Do this scholarships apply for the African countries also, I’m taking on an Engineering coarse in Technical University of Mombasa(Kenya) and I’m having hard time paying my fee since i dont depend on my parents?

    • Some of the scholarships I post are open to students from all over the country. If the scholarship does not specify citizenship requirements, they are probably open to you.

    • You’re right. Many scholarships are only open to younger college students. However, they are out there for juniors and seniors. I post all scholarships I find. Hopefully you’ll find some that you can apply to.

    • Hello! I have not put together a list for biomedical or physician assistant majors… yet. However, I have put together a list for Nursing majors, and some of these scholarships might be a good fit for you.

With 4 kids, 18 year-old triplets + 19 year old brother all in college now, we are desperate to find merit scholarships since all of them are going to private or out of state universities and we don’t qualify for need-based.
