There are thousands of scholarships out there. Some are large scholarships that are well publicized, while others are lesser known. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

Student Saver Scholarship

Deadline: September 27, 2014
Eligibility: Applicant must be 16 years of age or older and currently enrolled or in the process of applying for a degree, diploma or certificate seeking program.
Requirements: Applicant must like the DegreeDirectory.org Facebook page and answer the scholarship question.

CRSI Undergraduate Scholarship Program
Sponsor: CRSI Education & Research Foundation
Amount: Varies
Deadline: September 30, 2014
Eligibility: Applicant must be a citizen of the U.S. and attending a college or university in the U.S. Applicant must be qualified senior students and enrolled in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with a 3.25 GPA or higher.
Requirements: Applicant must submit completed application, official transcripts and three recommendation letters.

12 Keys Rehab Scholarship
Sponsor: 12 Keys Rehab
Amount: $500
Deadline: October 1, 2014
Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. resident who will be enrolling in college courses in their next semester. The scholarship is open to all majors of study. Applicant’s school must be in the U.S.
Requirements: Applicant must submit a short online form and an essay with 500 words or less.

Anders Tjellstrom Scholarship
Sponsor: Cochlear
Amount: $2,000 – renewable for up to four years, assuming the scholarship recipient maintains a 2.5 GPA or better.
Deadline: October 1, 2014
Eligibility: Applicant must have a Baha® device. Applicant must have applied or be enrolled in an accredited college, university of technical school starting Fall 2014.
Requirements: Applicant must submit completed application, financial high school transcript, admissions information to college, resume, personal statement, proof of age and residency, and three letters of reference.

Asian Women in Business Scholarship
Sponsor: Asian Women in Business
Amount: $2,500
Deadline: October 1, 2014
Eligibility: Applicant must be of Asian or Pacific Islander ancestry and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Applicant must be enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year undergraduate institution in the U.S. who has completed at least one semester. Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA and have demonstrated leadership experience.
Requirements: Applicant must submit completed application, two essays, copy of most recent college transcript and at least one letter of recommendation.

Elkus, Sisson & Rosenstein Academic Scholarship
Sponsor: Elkus, Sisson & Rosenstein
Amount: $1,000
Deadline: October 1, 2014
Eligibility: Applicant must be age 17 or older and currently enrolled at an accredited high school, college, or university in the U.S. Applicant must be enrolled as either an undergraduate or in the final year of high school and must have a parent that is a law enforcement official and/or going to school to become a law enforcement official.
Requirements: Applicant must submit a 400-600 word essay.

Graeme Clark Scholarship
Sponsor: Cochlear
Amount: $2,000 – renewable for up to four years, assuming the scholarship recipient maintains a 2.5 GPA or better.
Deadline: October 1, 2014
Eligibility: Applicant must have Nucleus Cochlear Implant. Applicant must have applied or be enrolled in an accredited college, university of technical school starting Fall 2014.
Requirements: Applicant must submit completed application, financial high school transcript, admissions information to college, resume, personal statement, proof of age and residency, and three letters of reference.

International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association (IDDBA) Scholarship Program
Sponsor: International Diary-Deli-Bakery Association
Amount: $100 – $1,000
Deadline: October 1, 2014
Eligibility: Applicant must be a current (during the college school year) full- or part-time employee of an IDDBA-member company working a minimum of 13 hours per week. Applicant must also have an academic field of study in food-related field, business, or marketing and have a 2.5 GPA or higher.
Requirements: Applicant must submit a completed application, transcript and reference letter.

Legal Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship
Sponsor: Paralegal411
Amount: $1,000
Deadline: October 1, 2014
Eligibility: Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and a current college student pursuing a legal related undergraduate degree or certificate at an accredited college or university.
Requirements: Applicant must submit completed application and an essay with 200-300 words.

Raymond Davis Scholarship
Sponsor: Society of Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T)
Amount: $1,000
Deadline: October 1, 2014
Eligibility: Applicant must be an undergraduate who has completed two academic years of study or a graduate-level student. Applicant must be a full-time student at an accredited institution majoring in, or carrying out research focusing on a topic in a field related to imaging.
Requirements: Applicant must submit completed application, CV/resume, information about career objectives, supporting letters from at least two persons, and an official transcript.

Students with Heart Scholarship
Sponsor: Students with Heart Foundation
Amount: $500 – $6,000
Deadline: October 1, 2014
Eligibility: Applicant must suffer from any Cardiac disease or deformities. Applicant must also be current undergraduate or graduate student with at least part-time standing with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Applicant must also be a U.S. citizen, national or permanent resident.
Requirements: Applicant must submit completed application, letter from physician, official transcripts, one letter of recommendation and a personal statement.
