If you are a parent, paying for college may be difficult. Some scholarship providers want to help parents (single parents and parents that are still together) attend college by providing scholarship. Below are scholarships open to parents.
EFWA Scholarships
Sponsor: The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting (EFWA)

Description: Scholarships are open to women who are pursuing Accounting degrees at the undergraduate level. In addition to the general scholarships, there are scholarships open to students who attend school in the state of Washington, women returning to school after raising children, and minority students.
ASIST – Albuquerque Scholarship
Sponsor: Executive Women International – Albuquerque
Amount: $1,000.00
Closing Date: March 31, 2026
Description: Scholarship is open to non-traditional students who live within the boundaries of the Albuquerque Chapter and who are past high school age and who are either entering college or already enrolled in college. Applicant must have financial need and preference will be given to those individuals with children residing in the home.
ASIST – Columbus Scholarship
Sponsor: Executive Women International – Columbus
Amount: Varies
Closing Date: March 31, 2026
Description: Scholarship is open to female incoming and current non-traditional students in Central Ohio. Special consideration will be given to students with financial need, socially, physically and economically challenged adults, and preference is given to those with children residing in the home.

Description: Scholarship is open to non-traditional students who live within the boundaries of the Spokane Chapter (Spokane and Kootenai Counties) who are past high school age and who are either entering college or already enrolled in college. Women’s Another Chance Scholarship
Sponsor: Zonta Club of St. Louis
Amount: Up to $4,000
Closing Date: March 31, 2026
Description: Scholarship is open to single mothers over the age of 24 who are committed to the pursuit of post-high school education and/or training. Applicants must live in the Missouri counties of Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. Louis or the City of St. Louis and the Illinois counties of Madison, Monroe or St. Clair. Students must attend a school within a 50 mile radius of the city limits of St. Louis.
