Description: Scholarship is open to students and individuals who plan to spend the money on students (parents, mentors, counselors, etc). Applicant must create a free profile at Make Me a Freshman, a tool that helps students stay organized during the college admissions process.

Marie McKay Global Citizen Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students who have been accepted into an Athena semester or year-long study abroad program. Applicant must submit an essay that outlines his/her interest in social justice and service programs.

MigVapor Essay Contest

Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. citizens who are full-time students at an accredited four-year or two-year university, community college, junior college, or a graduate degree program. Applicant must submit an essay on a relevant topic related to making the world tobacco-free.

NCJW/LA Scholarship Program
Sponsor: National Council of Jewish Women | Los Angeles
Amount: Up to $2,000
Closing Date: November 1, 2017
Description: Scholarships are open to students who live and attend school in the Greater Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and Ventura Counties. Applicant must be trying to better their lives through education in the aftermath of trauma, loss and other setbacks. There are scholarships open to all majors and specific scholarships for nursing majors, mothers, non-traditional students, education majors, and film/television/cinema/theater majors.

Description: Scholarship is open to currently enrolled college students attending an accredited college in Arizona or New Mexico. Applicant must have a career objective in of the areas of the Hospitality Industry (i.e. Hotel/Restaurant Management, Culinary/Foodservice, Architecture, Interior Design, etc.)

NEWH | Atlantic City/Philadelphia Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students attending an accredited colleges in East Pennsylvania or Southern New Jersey. Applicant must have completed at least half the requirements for a degree and must be pursuing a career objective in the Hospitality industry (Hotel/Restaurant management, Culinary, Food Service, Architecture, Design, etc.)

NEWH | Cincinnati Chapter Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students attending an accredited college in West Ohio and Ohio. Description: Scholarship is open to students who will be enrolled in post-secondary education in the upcoming semester. Applicant must submit an essay on the way in which they have helped themselves or others in the face of drug or alcohol addiction.

P.E.O. Star Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to high school senior women who will attend an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the United States or Canada in the next academic year. Applicant must exhibit excellence is community service, extracurricular activities and leadership and applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Pennsylvania Society Scholarship Program
Sponsor: The Pennsylvania Society | Maguire Foundation
Amount: Up to $8,000
Closing Date: November 1, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors at Pennsylvania secondary schools, including public, private, and home schooled students. Applicant must plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited non-proprietary four-year college located within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, have been an active participant in community and/or extracurricular activities, and demonstrate financial need.
