Some students are offered athletic scholarships to continue their sport in college. However, not all student athletes are give this opportunity. Luckily, there are outside scholarships open just to student athletes. Some of the scholarships listed are for specific sports, while others are open to all student athletes.

PGA WORKS John & Tamara Ludgren Scholars Program

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors, graduates, and current post-secondary undergraduates who plan to enroll full-time undergraduate study at one of the 18 accredited PGA Golf Management universities.

Description: Scholarship is open to female high school seniors graduating from high schools in Minnesota who have played varsity hockey or its equivalent while in high school.

American Legion – Department of Kansas Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors and current college students from the state of Kansas. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships open to children of veterans, Scouts, athletes, and students with talent in music and public speaking.

Description: Scholarship is open to high school senior cheerleaders from Iowa who display outstanding scholastic achievement.

TrophyCentral Sportsmanship & Compassion Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to incoming college freshmen who had at least a 3.25 GPA in high school. Applicant must have demonstrated a unique or special form of sportsmanship, kindness or compassion. Although not required, special attention will be given to applicants who are the first in their generation to attend college or are entering a branch of the military (ex. ROTC).
